The new word for big is massive, apparently. Is it just me or has its over-usage began to rankle anyone else?

I realise I'm turning into a massive stuck record ;) but the word very has been replaced by super, and I missed a memo.
Also why has everyone started saying "be like" instead of "says"?

I have noticed super a lot recently.

On the point of "massive" does it have another meaning in a medical context?

My father died of a heart attack, suddenly. When asked, my mother would say "oh, he had a MASSIVE heart attack. Why massive? Why not just....a heart attack, or a fatal heart attack?

I think 'massive heart attack' is one of the few proper uses of the word. Sorry absolutely

I have found that people who abuse 'massive' tend to be the ones who think 'literally' is meant to be used for emphasis.

He was probably "rushed" into hospital as well, absolutely, rather than just taken.
