I think a pirate party for 5 year old girls is perfect. My dd is 5 and she loves to dress up as the usual fairies and princesses but she'd also love to be a pirate. (I'm wondering why she doesn't have a pirate costume now!)

I wish my DD was friends with your DD.

we had a treasure chest cake - as well as chocolate coins and sweetie necklaces etc we used the haribo ring sweets too.

chocolatespiders - if you want sweetie necklaces give me a shout - I bought a boxful at the cash n' carry for DD's party bags back in Feb - 30 little girls later AND stuffing a hundredweight of them into the pinata we had for the kids at my birthday bbq last weekend STILL hasn't shifted more than half of them - I need to get rid!

If you're interested I'll post my email...

DD would definitely love to be a pirate - she's off to a party tomorrow with an 'Ocean' theme and has asked to be a pirate (have to admit I nudged her in that direction as the birthday girl will be a mermaid (the other option) also I feel the tail will cramp dd's style somewhat...)

My dd loves all the pink princess nonsense but I'm sure she would also love dressing up as a pirate. Super hero (with pink cape) is her usual dressing up option

Great - I just counted what's left in the box and there are 36 of them - it weighs 704g, though, so according to the Royal Mail that's £2.51 for first class post - that okay?

If you'd like to email me your address on lovecat66 at btinternet dot com I can get them off to you and give you my paypal details (not the same email address!)

Sounds fantastic. Dd would have loved something like that. Whenever she was invited to a princess party she always went dressed as a knight

My friend had a Peter Pan Party, and the boys and a couple of girls went as Pirates, most of the girls went as Tinkerbell(they were 5 so quite alot are girly/princessey at this age IME)

My DS went as the Croc, spent ages doing my "Blue Peter bit" with Cereal box and paint!!

Great Party though LOL!
