Like the candy floss maker. Fondue: surely you can melt it over a pan?

Aitch · 27/06/2008 16:54

if it's an inflatable one then deffo floss. you'll be able to wash off the sticky quite easily, one would imagine. oh look, who am i kidding, i just really really like candy floss.

pointydog · 27/06/2008 17:03

couldn't you just make chocolate bananas on a barbecue? Or toast marshmallows.

Or give them a selection of odd sweet things to try barbecuing. Those bbq biscuits in m&s are popular amongst the youngsters here.

I've never bought them for the dds yet. Wouldn't you wrap them in foil and put on heat? Like banannas

QOD · 27/06/2008 17:12

we got a candy floss machine - takes HOURS for one wispy thingy. wouldnt bovva!

Blandmum · 27/06/2008 17:14

candyfloss makers are crapola

Takes forever, by which time the boys will be killing and eating each other

FrannyandZooey · 27/06/2008 17:14

you could just ask them to open wide when they arrive, and tip in sugar using a funnel?

have the same effect by the end of the party, and be a lot cheaper

pointydog · 27/06/2008 17:18

every child loves marshmallows on a bbq. Watch out for tongue blisters

TheChicken · 27/06/2008 17:33

My friend had to work a candy floss maker at a charity event once.

She thought she was doing great until she looked in the mirror and her eyelashes were full of it.
