hello!

there's a cake tin mould on party pieces website that i might go for

for harry and dinosaurs, i would be tempted to make bucket shaped cake and put lots of small plastic dinosaurs in it...

off to search web for cookie cutter!

hope you're having nice time.

D'bl cake shop hires cake moulds...

Party Pieces have some dinosaur stuff here

I have used them for a themed party in the past - the stuff was great! Loved the lunchboxes (we had boat ones for a sea-theme) which you could fill in advance (easier than passing round party food). Their party bag stuff's good too.

MmeCellophane · 06/04/2008 16:05

the party boxes are here but can't see any dinosaur ones (sorry)

MmeCellophane · 06/04/2008 16:12

(But the jeep tray would suffice?)

MmeCellophane · 06/04/2008 16:16

Make your own "Pin the (tail/nose/?) on the dinosaur"?

If you have lots of little dinosaurs (or use pictures), send them on a dino hunt round the house/garden - bringing back one at a time, see who can collect the most!

nannynick · 06/04/2008 16:26

If you are looking for a Dinosaur Box, then Great Little Parties has some at 40p each. They have some quite nice plates, cups and napkins as well. They also have a dinosaur game - think it's similar to pin the tail on the donkey, but it's sticky dinosaurs.

Tommy · 06/04/2008 16:29

my local cake shop has a dinosaur tin for hire which DS2 has his eye on for his birthday.

Party Pieces are very good for all sorts of things like plates, napkins etc.

Like the idea of bucket cake with toy dinosaurs!

nannynick · 06/04/2008 16:33

What age children?

First 'game' could be on your path/driveway... dinosaur foot prints showing the way.

tassisssss · 06/04/2008 16:36

mostly boys (up to 20 of them - aaargh!), mostly aged 4/5

great ideas here, keep them coming.

Volcano video (2.5 Mb) - make a volcano perhaps, though some 5 year olds may not be that impressed.

nannynick · 06/04/2008 16:44

20 kids is quite a lot... you need things to occupy them all, all of the time.
How about making dinosaur hats - then have them prance around the garden making dinosaur noises.

TurkeyLurkey · 06/04/2008 16:46

You could make a dinosaur out of a cucumber..well ok it looks like a lizard but no one will tell the difference!
