Tell them all it's been cancelled this year

belgo · 26/02/2008 12:13

aargh - someone phoned me and now I've lost count - why didn't I count the stickers before I started doing the layers? then I'd know how many I've done!

I'm also making a piñata - now that really is complicated!

Don't make your pinata too thick or the fecker will not break and you will have to saw it open and stamp on it.

WendyWeber · 26/02/2008 12:17

You can buy pinatas in Woolies or somewhere now (pink donkeys???) - I bet they're flimsy enough, one tap and whoosh!

belgo · 26/02/2008 12:18

I've made it already - it's not too thick but it's cracked and I've had to do a repair job with more paper mache - I really wish I could buy them ready made in Belgium!

How do you suspend the pinata?

We made one and DH suggested hanging it from the light fitting (eeejit)

The only place we could come up with was a tree in the garden but it rained all day so they ended up just beating it on the floor.

belgo · 26/02/2008 12:21

the one I made previously I attached to a broom stick and held it up.

Oh sorry, I forgot why you are called belgo

It'll be great. The kids will have a lovely time, you will be shattered and hitting the gin afterwards, and in about 11 months time you'll start planning the 5th party because the 4th was so fab!

belgo · 26/02/2008 12:23

yes, I will be shattered afterwards! and I've got two parties to organise - one for dh's family, and one for dd1's friends!

Piñata is finished and so is the pass the parcel (quite how many layers it's ended up with I have no idea)

DD1 is going to have lots of fun this weekend.
