DH is 40 in November. We live in Cyprus and so a big party here is not going to happen as I think it would be too much to ask everyone to come over here (esp in Nov). He's not really into a hall 7 disco kind of party but would prefer to have his frinds together for a dinner party.
My idea is to arrange a weekend away for us and his friends in a large house somewhere in the UK. As his birthday is November and we are def coming home for a couple of weeks in July I thought I might arrange it for then. We would have better weather and it would be a huge surprise for him. Also DD starts school in Nov so it would be difficult for us to get home for a weekend in Nov apart from half term.
Do you think this is a good idea? And do you know anywhere that might be a good place to go?
