Ho bisogno di
Per favore di scrivere il suo nome
Posso scrivere il mio nome
Come si chiama?
Mi chiama....

Italian is the only one I want to put my name to on here, my French is up and down and my German is dubious!

rachel234 · 23/06/2010 18:03

Bitte schreibe deinen Namen
Ich kann meinen Namen schreiben
Wie heisst Du?

(German - in the informal Du form)

"Actually its Comment tu t'appelle ? No s at the end of appelle "

Are you sure Depechemodefanisback? I think it is with an "s"

abeautifulbutterfly · 23/06/2010 20:34

(Polish)
Please write your name.
Prosze napisac swoje imie (or: nazwisko if you mean full name)

I can write my name.
Umiem pisac swoje imie/nazwisko

What is your name?
Jak masz na imie? (e.g. to friend/child, given name only)

Jak sie nazywasz? (to friend/child, full name)

Jak sie Pan/Pani nazywa? (formal, full name, given name only version irrelevant as you wouldn't use only given name in formal setting)

My name is ...
Mam na imie (given name only)
Nazywam sie (full name)

Uff... Missed out all the diacritics as they prob. wouldn't come out

midnightexpress · 23/06/2010 20:35

...and not 'Comment t'appelles-tu?'? That's what I was always taught as a nipper (but that is a v long time ago...)

CoteDAzur · 23/06/2010 20:36

Will Turkish do?

Lutfen adinizi yaziniz.
Ben adimi yazabilirim.
Adiniz nedir?
Benim adim ...

That was all in a formal "vous". In an informal "tu", all that becomes:

Lutfen adini yaz.
Ben adimi yazabilirim.
Adin ne?
Benim adim ...

Will a transliteration do for Hebrew? Cos I doubt you'd be able to read it in Hebrew script!

Please write your name.

T'chtavi bevakesha et shemech (female)

And in Afrikaans (yes, my language collection is somewhat eclectic!)

Please write your name.

Oh yes, Esmeralda's polite Dutch has reminded me... in polite Afrikaans:
