Need some advice. Not sure what to say .
One mum whose son is in my sons class (Year 4) is so full of herself. Very outspoken to the point of rude. She will pull a child up about his/her behaviour, one that is not hers and put him in his place. Its not her job so find it very annoying when she does it. She dresses in the classy way to look rich. She even states , "My son would NEVER do that !" My son once said something at school to her son to gain attention and amusement, (he has mild ADHD) . She told me it was dispicable, even though i did apologise. She has told me when i have explained about my sons problems that he is "Extremely irritating".
Today she told me in all seriousness "Its not cricket rules. . .its Cricket LAW". . . .What the .......k ??????
Stupid woman .

Any advice to deal with Miss Perfect/Bossy/Speak you mind please.??

no no, don't want to make friends there, it's just one feels like a grinning twat when one is smiling at someone who was friendly to them the day before and then blanks them.

Chat to your mates. Otherwise read a good book at school gates. Possibly laugh out loud sometimes, especially if it's a funny bit.
I read magazines at toddler group but got tutted at by the helpers as I was ignoring my child.

SuSylvester · 18/05/2010 18:56

yes that is odd.
right bin them
kerching

ahundredtimes · 18/05/2010 18:56

Reeelax fanjo. It's not a date. Stop grinning.

Tomorrow, just nod.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 18/05/2010 18:56

already have the ONLY SN child there who stands out a LOT (runs around grabbing people while all the other kids stand nicely waiting to get in) so am probably a bit sensitive.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 18/05/2010 18:57

nod in a nonchalant manner?

squeaver · 18/05/2010 18:57

lol at "deary"

SuSylvester · 18/05/2010 18:57

i think you shoudl run around grabbing too
that would put a cat amongst the pigeons.
i never GET the parents who do more than say " bye" as kid walks in door.
they stand and fuss and fiddle and go in

FUCK OFF and leave them to it

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 18/05/2010 18:57

if I just nod I will look like a spy or something.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 18/05/2010 18:58

well, one dad already thinks I do grab..I was behind him, DD was between us, and she grabbed his arse, he turned round and stared at ME.

SuSylvester · 18/05/2010 18:59

CASE SOLVED

you are Groper of the Yard

notnowbernard · 18/05/2010 18:59

I don't mind all the inane chatter and can do it til the cows come home. I do get a bit twitchy when 'arrangements' start being made to meet up etc though

SuSylvester · 18/05/2010 18:59

just get your kid and leave
are you all expecting cocktails?

i dont like the kids who come out throw things at their parents.
adn parents meakly pick it up!

ahundredtimes · 18/05/2010 19:00

lol fanjo - y the truth is out. It was her husband I expect. Let's not nod at her now, she might think it's code

FlyMeToDunoon · 18/05/2010 19:00

Mine's a cosmopolitan!

SuSylvester · 18/05/2010 19:01

omg you need to shake car keys and put a bit of pampas grass behind your ear

compo · 18/05/2010 19:05

at xmas there was a hideous do organised by class super mum

I forced myself to go

had a fab time. all got relatively merry, gossip was shared

since then just nods and waves

I await the summer do with anticipation mums are obviously just desperate for a night out/off not so they can make mates at sch gates

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 18/05/2010 19:07

He wasn't even the fit dad!

squeaver · 18/05/2010 19:07

Oh God the fussers drive me mad. "She doesn't want to go into the class without me. I wish she wasn't so clingy". Meanwhile kid is totally not bothered, chasing round the playground etc

SuSylvester · 18/05/2010 19:08

and if oyu just shoved her twds teacher...

ahundredtimes · 18/05/2010 19:17

I've just remembered - ds2 used to come out and throw his book bag at me. I'd let it fall to the floor. Then we'd stand there having a High Noon moment about the book bag.

what a waste of time, perhaps I should have just caught it

playgrounds full of hand-wringers, I'd be a terrible reception teacher

FlyMeToDunoon · 18/05/2010 19:24

DD comes out, hands me book bag, lunch bag and water bottle and then demands 'SNACK!'
meek I am.

Once found a mummeee sobbing at the dancing lessons to the dancing teacher about her reception age child not having had a reading book yet. Dance teacher was offering to ring the school. My thought was why not just ask reception teacher if DC should be having reading books yet.
