ARGH! It is meant to be under construction still! Not even got the right prices!

OP posts:
Babybots · 11/09/2009 15:13

It does say under construction

JennyPenny22 · 11/09/2009 15:20

Oh I see. So you can't see the actual site? Just the background and "under construction"?

nearly gave me a heart attack then!

oneopinionatedmother · 11/09/2009 15:22

feeling slightly overawed by size of thread, pops head round door and enters cautiously, like Dorothy before The Wizard<

might i ask a question? (i just have..)
i am about to get more motherease all-in-ones and sandys for DS (8mo) - are there better options of a similar ilk? No velcro though, my kushies have bit the dust due to my ill-treatment.

DS also is beginning to soak through his night nappy, would a large size sandys do?
And a good washable night nappy for a 2yo?

quickly pulls back hugging Toto

kmummy · 11/09/2009 15:30

I wana see!!!

Babybots · 11/09/2009 15:48

kmummy - good things come to those that wait

4andnotout · 11/09/2009 16:09

oneopinionatedmother-come in a pull up a chair Now for my 23 month old dd3 i use a bamboo (or hemp) babybehinds with an additional booster (when i remember) and a tots bots flexi wrap. I haven't tried motherease aio's so can't comment and whilst i loved small sandy's i didn't try large ones as we use pockets for daytimes now HTH a bit

I have only just come home from my parents house where i have been since 9am, have had my hair dyed and i'm really pleased with the colour, have had loads of compliments at the school.

No fluffy post today But i got my strawberry fields itti yesterday and dd4 wore it today and even my childless sister was stroking it lovingly I just need a large for dd4 now

Jenny can't wait to see the site

kmummy · 11/09/2009 16:47

OK (slunks off to the naughty corner)

oneopinionatedmother · 11/09/2009 17:12

oh i meant motherease one-size with rikki wraps...lovely patterns.

looking at baby beehinds..lovely colours too

BaronConker · 11/09/2009 17:22

hello oom and welcome. Just an opinion, but as your DS is big enough for size large sandy's, I wouldn't bother with the one sizes at all and just get more sandy's. They're so much nicer! I have used both and the one sizes are fine but sandy's have elastic round the legs and are more absorbent, and are a lovely fit with the side poppers. They also come in yummy rainbow colours (but only in the cotton I think...)

mumface · 11/09/2009 17:22

Opinionated I don't think you can beat ME wraps for reliability.Or Popolini wraps which are the same design, a bit cheaper and better patterns I think.I have a couple of each.I don't like ME onesize, I hate how the wings at the front stick out. Flexi-tots are very good in my opinion. And flexi wrap too.Have you tried the Bimble or bumble by Easy Peasy, nice and fleece lined. You can have poppers and colours too.I have lilac, blue lemon and mint.

@baron Just an opinion,

i like opinions....

will have a lok for coloured sandys...they are lovely, though mine seem to be getting harsher with washing (60 deg machine wash in non-bio)

Babybots · 11/09/2009 18:36

Jenny - Are you now live??

Or is it just me that can see everything?

BaronConker · 11/09/2009 18:40

oom again, forgot to mention poppered tots bots bamboozles. I love my bamboozles. Your baby's bound to be big enough for size 2s now and they are fab and very soft and fluffy. My cotton nappies do go quite crispy as I live in a hard water area and line dry (no tumble dryer) but bamboo nappies stay nice and soft although they take ages to dry.
Another option with poppers is Blueberry nappies with side snaps (or BBSS as we like to call them to confuse people!) They are tres, tres cher, though, so you'd have to get a second mortgage. Good resale value though. Blueberries also do a one size that has poppers, which is EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE if such a thing was possible. And of course the big fave of this thread is the Itti Bitt D'lish Snap-in one, which has poppers and is lush!!!

Run, now, while you still can, before you spend more money on nappies than you ever dreamed possible...

oneopinionatedmother · 11/09/2009 19:05

'oh brave new world, that has such nappies in't'

those bamboo ones look very nice..and extra absorbency for DS is great, as he wees for England. where they say slow drying though, just how slowly do they mean?

I'm quite happy of spend a bit extra on the nappies, but more money on leccy drying them is less favourable...

oooh jenny it's lovely!! I am a proof reader by trade, and you did say to point out any mistakes, so I just thought I'd mention that in your paragraph on coolababy AIOs you've missed a 'd' on the 'and', put an extra 't' in 'outer' and spelt 'received' with a whole extra letter. I would be really happy to proof read your site for you if you'd like but I've got no idea if you can let outside people in to edit the site remotely...???

kmummy · 11/09/2009 21:06

Jenny it looks fab

Well done you and all your hard work, cant wait to have a browse when your stock is in

4andnotout · 11/09/2009 21:13

I don't know if anyone has posted this competition link at fill-your-pants

mumface · 11/09/2009 21:13

Jenny It's me that just ordered Punkin wipes solution & fleece wipes.I've just been using some baby oil in water it sounds very aromatic and healing. Have you got any colour/patterned fleece or is it white?

JennyPenny22 · 11/09/2009 21:57

mumface - YAY! First order! Was the checkout OK? I can't find ANY options for checkout and its just altomatic. And I can't find a way of doing a test run as it asks me to log into paypal and then realises its me . Although I would like to be able to accept other methods but just can't work it out! So please do bear with me if its crap! LOL. I have dark blue fleece or pink or white at the moment if thats any good?

Baron - thanks for that! I will get onto that now! I don't think you can edit the site as I have got software etc that I bought to create the You can email me at jennifer_webb @hotmail.co.uk if you like? I can't afford to pay a proof reader but could maybe send you a little freebie if you were to help me out? Might just take a little more work without the software though.
