Was she having you on? DS1 ( 3.5) goes to nursery 5 mornings a week and 2 days til 3. That's it. He also hangs out with me, his Dad, his Granny, his nanny, his brother and does several playdates with me and his little brother.
BUT nothing else.
DS2 ( 17 mos) has a 'friend' round once a week, does ONE class i pay for and a church singing group. Both my boys are happy, like other children, like going to anywhere we take them, museums, galleries, mainly sleep well, enjoy food, love toys, love books ( and a bit of telly) and seem to be developing just fine. Their lives are similar to mine as a child.I don't think I did any classes, tried ballet and hated it, was rather unsporty, went to school, played a lot at home, learned to love reading, worked quite hard and went to Oxford and then had a very enjoyable career in marketing and the civil service - so don't believe it really hindered my progress. I find this whole pushy parenting funny/curious more than anything else. Good luck to her and - please, don't let it bother you.
