had an emergency hystorectomy, so can't have anymore children, anyone have any positive things to say about only children

had to have an emergency hystrectomy when i had dd 1yo.

feel quite sad i won't be having anymore children, could do with hearing a few good things about only children, oh i hate the term only

feeling blue, I can empathise with how difficult it is to have the choice to have more children taken away from you. And also with it taking a while to sink in. You need to be patient with yourself, and don't worry if you have bad days and emotional wobbles: it's only natural. When it happens to me, I just try to focus on how lucky I am to have DS, or just let myself have a good old cry and get it out my system.

On the plus side, your daughter won't suffer (I'm sure all the posts above will have convinced you of that) - there are a lot of pluses to being 'an only' (the term doesn't bother me to be honest). Hope you manage to plan a wonderful holiday. .
