At what age did your kids stop playing in the garden

We're in the process of buying a house with a pretty big garden, basically to keep my partner happy as he always complained our garden is too small for the kids to play in. Current garden is big enough for a trampoline, basketball hoop an not much else. He grew up with a big long garden where he and his brothers played football all the time, so he's never shut up about it. Need to move for more space anyway, but I'm afraid we're going to be paying a premium for a garden that won't be used in a couple of years. And partner has never shown any interest in garden maintenance. Kids are age 6 up to 12. Those of you with big gardens and kids - does it get used? Is it worth it?

Three kids here. They stopped regularly playing outside from about age 10/11, preferring to be in their rooms/on the PlayStation/phones witvlh their friends.

The main use was when they were young we had a climbing frame and trampoline.

DS2 was about 13/14 when he stopped using his football/practice goal outside, but we’re all adults now and we still use the garden for pétanque/Kubb/giant pass-the-pigs/egg rolling at Easter, and DH and DS2 will have a kickabout after a barbecue.

I am so confused - you have posted multiple times about moving house (I remember your username) and said you’d moved in November?

My eldest is 19 and still goes on the swing and trampoline sometimes. My nearly 15 year old uses the climbing frame every day.
