DS1 at 6am, comes into our room, climbs into my bed, pulling of the duvet, coughs VERY LOUDLY in my face without putting his hand up, loud enough to wake up DS2 in room next door.

Day commences.

How irritating is that?

popsycal · 26/05/2008 14:46

at about 6:15 (a lie in here at the moment) with ds2 telling me how he wanted to give ds1's omnitrix to 'that baby in your tummy'

Bizarrely, I woke up to complete silence at 8.15am.

That is the first time that has happened since having children (they are 6 and 4). DH and I are trying to micro-analyse yesterday to see if we did anything to cause such deep sleep. I'll let you all know if we come to any conclusions!

blinkingthreetimes · 26/05/2008 14:57

I woke to the sound of three dd's squabbling over books this was 6am

VictorianSqualor · 26/05/2008 15:00

Snuffling under my arm where DS2 was trying to feed.
Then I went back to sleep and was woken up by DP asking 'Do you want some porridge?'

tassisssss · 26/05/2008 15:01

contraction at 5.30am

dd shouting "daddyo, daddyo" at 6.45am

PerkinWarbeck · 26/05/2008 15:07

5am - cat launches itself from top of wardrobe onto bed.
6am - DD wails for milk.

julen · 26/05/2008 15:08

Dd1 runing into our room: 'Mum, mum, the rain is coming into our house!! We have a swimming pool inside!!!' - and then ran off to get her brother and sister to splash in the big puddle that had collected on the (tile - phew) floor under the skylight that was open. Which gave us another 20 minutes in bed

Lubyloo · 26/05/2008 15:24

DD shouting at 6.15am "Mummy, I've done a poo!"

shrinkingsagpuss · 26/05/2008 15:26

DD - screeching for milk... followed swiftly my DS 'Dadeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee".

Lie in was yesterday - til glorious 7 am !! wow!! sadly, I was up til 2.30 with severe heartburn so it was wasted.

ladytophamhatt · 26/05/2008 15:29

3:50am, ds4 crying/moaning/whimpering in his cot....
he's been ill and was hungry so gave him some milk and he went back to sleep downstairs.

Doozed on the sofa after that.

I look/feel a rough as f*ck now.

BroccoliSpears · 26/05/2008 15:29

6.30: DS snuffling for a feed. I shuffled over, presented boob and went back to sleep for 20 minutes. Lie in!

barnstaple · 26/05/2008 15:29

The window latch coming free from the rotten window allowing the window to flap and bang in the wind. I watched it for a while, decided I couldn't do anything about it and went back to sleep

bearmama · 26/05/2008 15:31

At 2.30am by DD flailing about which is the stage before her yelling for milk. Had two nights of sleep from 11-4 and knew it couldnt last

Nbg · 26/05/2008 15:34

I wasnt woken at all
I was left in bed and I finally dragged my backside out just after 11.

In all fairness though, I was up all night the night previous with a vomiting child.

susiecutiebananas · 26/05/2008 15:39

By DD shouting from her cot I"'m readddddyyyyyyyyyyy I'm readdyyyyyyyyyyyyy I'm readyyyyyyyyyyyy " ( just a new phrase, its not often actually in context ) then the sound of toys and books being thrown out, and then crying and lots of sneezing and coughing.

She was a horrible mess of tears and snot in hair, all over face and PJs by the time I got in to her. It was all very dramatic this morning

Pheebe · 26/05/2008 17:17

First time - 2.30 by DH shuffling back into bedroom saying " he's had a shite" (meaning 6 months old ds2) - got up, changed him put him back in bed before I realsied what I was doing and slapped dhs ankles for not doing it himself

Second time - 6.45am by DS1 gently blowing on my face and kissing me and saying in a soft voice "i love you mummy I need a poo" - gladly got up to help him with that
