Where can I get tiny knickers (.i.e. 9-12m)?

DD3 is attempting to potty train herself at just 24m.

If she is successful she will need knickers - but I have only just started buying her 9-12m trousers as she is a tiddler. What is the smallest proper "knickers" I can buy?

Um, would it not be easier to go to a shop like Adams and have a look?

M&S and Mothercare sell pants from 12 to 18 months.

|I have tried Tesco where I buy most of my clothes and the smallest I could get was 18-24m. I think they should do 12-18m too but didn't have any.

I was assuming it might be a sppecialist product to have them so small...so was asking the font of all knowledge to limit my search.

DD is 26 months but only a 12-18 trouser size and the smallest size knicker old find for her are 18-24 ones. They are quite baggy but justat stay up(and are easy for her to take down to use potty) Ive also found that her trousers are too big now without a nappy on so had to adjust he waists or use belts

DelGirl · 25/05/2008 08:42

asda do some 1.5/2 I think, not seen any smaller but they are quite small. my dd is quite petite. wash them and tumble dry to make them smaller

I also got some in peacocks I think which were small. Ooh and primark.

Just had a look and asda are smallest hth

Shoshe · 25/05/2008 08:44

Next do 12-18 months, my little mindee who wears 9-12 month trousers (at 2.7) wears these and they fit fine.

SlightlyMadSweet · 25/05/2008 08:48

Arrh yes...I hadn't thought about the trouser issue. They are all going to be baggy now aren't they. Ho hum.

I guess I will have to trry and get hold of some 12-18m and see how we go.

Petit Bateau do pants for babies.

They are high rise, intended to go over nappies, so you need to buy a small size (my 22mo has some in 12m which fit) and they stay up. La Redoute have them.

And Petit Bateau's range of normal knickers start at age 2, and their sizing is pretty diddy. La Redoute have them too.

umberella · 25/05/2008 09:05

Matalan do them - I have 3-6m ones from there for dd

SlightlyMadSweet · 25/05/2008 09:08

TY.

I will try Matalan and have a look at la redoute....

I have a petite dd who potty trained at 20 months, so I know where you're coming from. I got her first pants from Woolies, because although (I think) they were 18-24 mths, they were much smaller than Mothercare's 12-18 mths and they fitted her fine. She's now 3, coming up for 3.5, and still wears 18-24 bottoms from most shops!

micci25 · 25/05/2008 09:49

i have bought them from adams, dd1 was quick at potty training and was and still is small for her age!

SmugColditz · 25/05/2008 09:50

Don't bother, get the smallest size they have because things like pants are fine if they are a bit baggy.

Nemoandthefishes · 25/05/2008 11:15

SMS agree with others that knickers sizing doesnt matter as much as they are elastic and all look a bit baggy whether they are right size or not.
GHood luck with the training dd1 came out of day and night nappies week after her 2nd birthday..marvellous

Primark had packs of fairy knickers (7 for £2.50) and the 2-3 size is quite snug on BabyDragon (26 months). They are smaller than their 10-for-£2.50 "Perfect" knickers so it's worth taking them out of the pack and checking the size.

SlightlyMadSweet · 25/05/2008 11:50

OK I will try the smallest I can get. She just has such an iddy biddy bottom I can't imagine trying tp get them anywhere near fitting.

And I guess I don't want my baby to grow up but that is probably another issue

Asda 1-1.5yr old boys pants much smaller than the mothercare ones

cupsoftea · 29/05/2008 20:46

h&m

LydiaLunch · 29/05/2008 22:22

Boys pants are much tinier than the girls ones for some reason, DD doesn't mind!

claireybee · 30/05/2008 14:00

DD is also tiny but the asda 12-18 month ones fit her fine. Have had to go down a clothes size on lots of her bottoms though as they all fall down otherwise now

aikigypsy · 30/05/2008 16:14

The 2-3 year size at Penny's is quite small (and cheap ).

WriggleJiggle · 30/05/2008 20:51

Boys 12-18m pants are the smallest I've found so far. Boys pants are also so much easier to pull up and down than the flimsy girly ones.
