Where do you change nappies

Title says it all, lap/knee for me or mat. Sometimes floor. DS is two years old right now.

With the first one, on the floor. Later ones, on my lap or standing. In a public place, at the designated changing place, if there was one. Otherwise, lap/car boot/ buggy - whatever was available and least exhibitionist.

At home always did mat on the floor, they can't fall off the floor. Out and about, in the pram (when we still had the carryout on it), the boot of the car or a nmbaby change unit.

Never even tried to do it on my knee!

For those using pull ups, aren't they trickier for changing poos? Also, won't toddlers just yank them down? Genuine question as my toddler is recently in the habit of trying to pull his nappy down - if he had a pull up he would yank it down for sure 😅

Some do, some don't. If they do, you can try with training pants and potty training, it's supposed to be a sign that they are ready.

And yes, MUCH trickier changing poos in pull ups, unless you cut them off with scissors! I didn't use them until they were potty training.

You can normally just tear the sides of a pullup then take it off like a nappy if there's a poo situation.

I have an almost 2 year old in pull ups, he’s changed wherever I can wrangle him. Always standing up, usually holding onto my shoulders while I kneel in front. He has zero patience for nappy changes so whatever is quickest basically.

Exactly the same as my 2yo🤣 I accidentally picked up some taped nappies and I've got no chance because he refuses to lie down for a nappy change 😂
