Constant Crying/Whining

Does anyone else’s 5 month old just constantly cry all the time, to the point where it’s driving them mad?

No matter what I do she just always cries all bloody day and it’s driving me up the wall. I change her, I feed her, I try to get her to nap, I try to entertain her and nothing works. It’s driving me insane. I just want it to stop.

Can someone please help me?

I’m not jumping to conclusions. I’m not saying she definitely is, I’m just saying that because I’m autistic, I worry she could end up like me. It’s normal to be anxious about your children inheriting issues like that, especially since Autism is genetic. Anxiety comes with my Autism, unfortunately.

I complitely understand why are you worried.
I used to work with autistic children, and since I am a mum, I have always wondered what the earliest signs are.

Are you breastfeeding?
Also, it could be overstimulation or teething.

Thank you for understanding where I was coming from.

No, not breastfeeding.
I wasn’t able to, sadly 😔

If she was fine up until this week there’s obviously something upsetting her. Crying is the only way she can tell you something is wrong. Take her to the GP for a check up

Thank you.
She’s been better yesterday, and today, but it’s definitely worth speaking to the GP. I’m leaning towards it being teething after reading people’s advice, and I’ve got the powder I was recommended by previous posters.

I had something like that with my son. He then developed a slight temperature and when checked at the GP he had an ear infection. Didnt think of it until he had a temp after a few days because apart from the crying there were no other signs (like ear tugging etc). But he suddenly cried all day. It was awful. Even when I gave him calpol cause I thought he was teething. But he wasnt even hot to touch, it was just by exasperation that I thought - hey maybe he's got a fever! and then he did.

Yeah, I wondered if she had a temperature, but when I checked hers, it was fine. She has been much better last few days, which is why I think it could have been teething. Thank you though, I do appreciate everyone’s advice, especially since this is my first baby.
