daughter will be 4 in November. She hasn’t used a buggy for over a year but we’re going on holiday next month and think we will need it for walks in the heat and in the evening. She’s about 104cm, I’d like something reasonable light weight and for her to be able to lie down comfortably (although I appreciate her feet will stick out the bottom!) we have a baby jobber city tour which we will be taking for our 1.5 year old, she’s looking a bit big for that these days. I’ve heard good things about silver cross pop or silver cross reflex, can’t anyone recommend? Hoping to buy second has as obviously will be seldom used!

@Anonymous2224 We went to our local pram shop yesterday and had a good try out of lots of buggies - not many that were a good fit at all 😫 DS is 4 in Nov and 75th centile for height and weight.

SilverCross Pop - Fitted ok in the seat with the backrest etc but in the 2 mins he was in it he was already complaining about his feet. His feet were either dangling past the footrest or he was sitting them on top of the wheels which would get very annoying very quickly (for me 😂!). It also felt heavy to push and I wasn’t a fan of the 2 single handles rather than 1.

YoYo - I genuinely have no idea how anyone has used this for an older child 😂 mine looked like he was trying to sit in a dolls pram 🙈 No way he could have napped or anything in it. The sales assistant looked at me like I had lost the plot when I said it had been recommended lots 🙈😅

Bugaboo Butterfly - Was ok. He fitted under the hood but I felt the seat was quite slim and he looked a bit crammed in. And pretty expensive!

BabyJogger City Mini GT2 - Another more expensive option and much less compact than the rest - but by far the best fit. Adjustable foot /calf rest and full recline meant he could fully lie down and be comfy. Were not bothered about ours coming in the cabin with us and have a Disney trip coming up so will be doing long days and want DS comfy so this is what we’re going for. He said this one was the most comfy and found it hilarious being back in a buggy 😂😂

Joie Literax Pro - Probably the next best fit and a more budget friendly option. Just didn’t feel as substantial or handle as well as the BabyJogger.

If you can get to a shop to try some out then I definitely would 😊

Thanks very much for this it’s so helpful! We actually used to have a baby jogger gt2 and it was great a really big seat and very comfortable but like you say definitely pretty heavy and not particularly compact for a holiday. We sold it when she wasn’t using it very much and went with the baby jogger city tour for our youngest for a more compact option. We’ve went through quite a lot of prams 😂 Yes I think you’re right and we need to go and have a look at some in a shop and see how she looks and feels in them. Although my husband is despairing at the thought of going to another pram store, he thought he wouldn’t never have to visit that shop again 😂

@Anonymous2224 😂 Mine was the exact same but then got right involved in checking the fold and all the technical stuff when we were there 😂 Managed to get a GT2 on Facebook marketplace last night for £120 so I’m super happy with that! Will buy a decent pram travel bag for it and hope for the best 🤞🏼😅
