Basically that I have a 1 year old 16 months to be exact and I'm currently still up finishing my bottle of wine and watching tv DP getting up with son in morning so no need to panic but I was talking to my mum friends on the group chat and more than half said I shouldn't be drinking incase DS needs me!! So I guess aibu or are they examples they gave if he suddenly becomes unwell ect I just think it's so stupid why can't we enjoy a drink when our kids are asleep???

Yawn. I hate this virtue signaling rubbish. This is why mum groups suck sometimes. People trying to one up each other in the mum' stakes.

The one who likes to make everyone feel guilty about sending their kid to nursery (hers won't settle - nothing to do with her anxiety projection onto him. She'll never enjoy work again. Ladies, it's just unnatural for our children. Meanwhile, I'm at my desk enjoy every second of adult life.

The one who has always has every problem before you ' yes, teddy was sick after eating cheese one. Gp and consultant doubted an allergy. But we now run a totallly dairy, nuts and gluten free house. No sacrifice is too much, right?'

The one who never lets her partner do any night wakings - long after any breastfeeding was required. ' he just doesn't know what to do and Theo needs me. He has a cold right now so I sleep on the wooden floor beside him.'

Obviously getting totally wasted with your kids upstairs would be irresponsible. But where's the harm in a few glasses together to unwind? Unless you live half way up snowdon? 😂

It’s such a munsnet thing to want to have someone always able to drive - what about people who don’t have cars or are single parents? It’s perfectly normal to have a drink, just don’t have parents both drunk at the same time
