I say it’s a good experience so long as you don’t become ill or cannot attend the event.
otherwise, it has some discriminatory practices and terms put in place to ensure attendance, even if families are unwell.
Camp kindling have refused to refund or now even exchange a family of four’s tickets because Charlotte within their team deemed the Mother to be behaving against their behaviour policy in emailing once to ask for a refund and explaining that on the day of camp she caught chicken pox (providing both medical of attending the Doctor that morning, along with purchasing a camping grill the evening before and checking if it was chickenpox with family and a Doctor friend, the morning of the camp).
camp kindling have instead cited that 48 hours must be given. 48 hours prior knowledge is not possible with chickenpox. On the first two spots appearing at 08:10am, the Mother provided evidence of contacting a family friend who’s a Doctor and breaking the sad news to a teenage relative who was attending.
The mother explained that a transfer to the following year was unfair due to having two disabled children who it would be difficult to fortune-tell how they would be the following year, but it was declined.
The mother, always in reply to Charlotte’s messages, asked if a video screen recording of a NHS app noting the Mother’s full name, address, NHS number, diagnosis and date was received, and instead, passive aggressive responses was received from Charlotte who then told the Mother she was withdrawing the offer to transfer the tickets, and the family will therefore lose the £1046 paid.
It is highly disgusting behaviour from a company who say they are about family, and deeply discriminatory. This has been done to others and a blanket policy where health is concerned with no discernment about individual circumstances is ridiculous and highly capitalistic.
