I'd love some insider knowledge on some things like the cooking areas, showers etc!

Oh and noise at night!

The cooking area gets quite busy and you have to queue at busy times. The showers get pretty dirty quickly and the drains clogged. We showered last year but this year planning on not bothering lol.

It's such an incredibly amazing place, absolutely magical and the best atmosphere! Noise at night time is fine, less than some camp sites we've stayed at - everyone's got kids and so is just super considerate.

Ooh, bring toilet roll!

Thanks so much! Are there things you can cook on or should we bring our camping stove? Although we're leaving tomorrow and I'm pretty sure we're out of gas (remembering I didn't get it today as I was supposed to!).

Any other tips would be appreciated! Very excited

Hey, I was just wondering if you went and how was it?

Pickledperr · 14/02/2024 23:20

@stillsleeptraining How did it go? Would you recommend it?

stillsleeptraining · 14/02/2024 23:38

The short answer is that we would never, ever go back! But the long answer is more complicated and would depend on what you're like.

The biggest problem was the noise. Jesus - for a place advertised to people with young kids, it was a nightmare. The music at night was so so so loud!! On all day but they cranked up the speakers at 7pm and it went on until 3am. Then everyone on the campsite was up at 6am crashing about.

The activities were excellent- really really really good. But we were all absolutely shattered from not sleeping and it was also a bit full on to be rushing around everywhere for start times (literally running).

We left, bought a tent on the way home and then went peaceful camping in a field the next weekend and had a much better time!

I've been a couple of times, we love it. It is so friendly and so much to do. They do have showers and toilets were not the worst festival ones. There is a cooking area, or plenty of food vendors. They have quite camping areas, slightly further from the action you don't want it too noisy.

We had a fabulous time at camp kindling!! & have been many times and never had the problems above.
There is a quiet field and plenty of space, the showers & toilets have always been great. I guess like all festivals there will be peak time & you catch it at the wrong times.
My top tip for this festival is to leave spaces in your schedule, the kids enjoy the free times too, playing in the woods ect
I would highly recommend Camp Kindling

Hey @stillsleeptraining - How strange! There specifically isn't any music during the day - that's when all the activities take place; not music!

And Camp Kindling's evening music finishes much, much earlier than that, so I wonder where that music you heard was coming from - maybe another person's tent?!

MumsHavingFun · 15/04/2025 10:18

Gorgeous pic @Joey4000 😍

Ah, we found it to be very quiet at night - the stages turn off around 11 and the daytime is activities, so the music was from the dance classes etc.

I really enjoyed it! I went with my 7 year old daughter and a friend and her 3 year old son. We had lots of fun, it was my first experience of a festival so wasn’t sure what to expect. It was all really well thought out, lots to do! There was no noise at night, we slept well!
