Protecting baby’s skin from cold - VERY sensitive skin

Hello

Has anyone got anything they’d recommend to protect their baby’s face in the cold - a rich cream or such - which works for very very sensitive skin?

Child’s Farm and Bramley Little B both brought him out in redness and extreme dryness.

This is fantastic and cruelty free:

Coconut oil? As in, extra virgin cold pressed stuff off of the cooking oils shelf in a supermarket, not some that's had all sorts added to it to make it a cosmetic cream.

The only thing I've ever used on DD that isn't entirely natural is Earth Mama Diaper Balm and that worked amazingly for some rough skin after illness.

The recommendation for lanolin made me wince. I think that it is one of the things that lots of people are sensitive to. E45 cream and Aveeno are others.
My thoughts are that a pharmacist could give you great advice. It worked for me.

I tried Kokoso coconut oil, which is pressed coconut oil for baby massage etc. nope, caused super dryness on face.

I would usually never recommend upf for a baby, but can the reaction be to light and not the cold?

Seems so obvious now you’ve said it! Thank you. I’ll give them an ask when I next go to pick up my and DS1’s medication in a few weeks. Sadly the waiting times to speak to a pharmacist are just too insanely long to go otherwise - I already spend an hour or more waiting there every month…

Til then will wrap DS2 up to try to protect his face.

I would be surprised but will ask about it when I see the pharmacist. He is incredibly pale but that’s not at all unusual in my family (Irish).

That's what I meant. Look at the ingredients list for Kokoso, it's full of things you can't pronounce. I'm talking about literal coconut oil that you eat.
