Thankfully I intervened before my 3 year old proudly fed him the second half. He proudly told me that baby brother doesn't want milk anymore as he eats food now! Blush

I only left them alone for 2 minutes with baby in his bouncer and my son sat at his table eating pudding!

I hadn't thought about weaning yet but I've got a chocolate faced baby who is extra smiley and licking his lips.. not sure carrot purée will be popular after his introduction to solids 😂

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Count yourself lucky - both DD and DS weaned themselves on spiders at 4.5 months. I’m terrified of them - takes me a while to work up the nerve to get rid of them but I learned to be quick with them because it was their snack of choice 😭

Ds1 was about 4 months old when I was eating an ice lolly while holding him. Dh had to ask me if I realised ds1 was sucking happily on the other end of it Blush

This is such a brilliant image 😂

@ReeseWitherfork Erm sure. Of course you take your tiny baby with you and don’t leave them alone. Unless they’re in a completely safe place like a cot. Just Google the NHS advice if you need help and it’s clear.

The best stories are always the ones where something went a tiny bit wrong. Tragedy plus time equals comedy. hilarious until something awful happens eh then it becomes news

7 month olds aren’t tiny babies. I’ve got on just fine leaving my babies where they are when I do those jobs.

My 2nd baby started on pureed food at 4 WEEKS old. He's 39 now and has always been very healthy

Well, I didn't intend to derail the thread, sorry OP!
@RunMynamethroughyourbed I don't think it would make the news if any of my kids fell down one of the 6-step, carpeted staircases in our split-level terrace.
As for taking mobile, crawling babies into the bathroom - I think that's pretty gross and unsafe. Within 3 seconds' reach would be the bin, the toilet brush, and DS's potty, with or without contents.
She's most definitely not a tiny baby - she's in 9-12 month clothes, and can stand unaided (not boasting) and apparently climb the stairs. She's more like a toddler than the helpless, immobile newborn you seem to be imagining.
