Me 41, my mother 40. Xh 48, my father 48.

I was 26 - about the same as my dad (25 ish) and younger than my mum (32), though my dad was 36 ish when I was born.

12 years older. Much prefer my experience. Mum was more than ready to be a parent but she made a shit choice of partner because she panicked she was on the shelf and just said yes to the first bloke who asked.

Younger - my mum was 35 when she had me (I was a surprise baby and her only child) and I was 29 when I had my first child.

Ten years older. She was 26, I was 36 when our first babies were born.

It was much more unusual in her day though

Older. I had a teenaged mother, 17. I felt very young still at 26.

Just over a year older she was 26 nearly 27 I was just 28.

Younger by a few years I was 24 when I had my first.

Older than DM, younger than DF

Younger. I was 24, my mum had me when she was 32. They had problems starting a family. She wanted children younger.

Much older, DM was 22, I was 34. DF was 30. I also didn't copy their age gap, DH is 6 months older than me rather than 8 years.

Younger. I am quite happy about that as I remember at age 10 thinking my DM was very old (she was 40)

Older. My mum had 4, first at 22 and last 30. I had my first at 31.
