And what will you be feeding them for dinner while we're on it?!

I need new ideas for my 2.5 year old rather than relying on my usual 'go to' options.

Breakfast today was overnight oats and a banana, snack was a homemade blw oat biscuit, lunch was mashed potato cakes, steamed brocilli, cauliflower and carrot sticks and a boiled egg, snack was a cheese string, dinner was chicken and mushroom risotto with a rice cake and hummus afterwards (she was still hungry!)

Breakfast today was porridge with strawberries in- she loves porridge but got 1 mouthful of strawberry, looked like I had tried to poison her, shook her head and refused to touch any more. So weetabix it was!
Lunch- I'm not sure as she was with Daddy
Dinner was a Heinz baby 12m+ sweet and sour chicken as I realised at the last minute that the curry sauce jar I was using for our dinner had dairy in it.
Snacks- just a banana today

Today was

At childminders (where she always eats everything)
Breakfast - Cheerios, toast, raspberries
Snack - Brioche, apple
Lunch - Chicken, mash, carrots, sweetcorn, gravy, 2 yoghurt tubes
Snack - 1/2 a waffle, watermelon and raisins

Dinner at home - Vegetable chilli. Wouldn’t touch this last time so this time I took her portion out and blended it, then added the kidney beans to the blended sauce. Told her it was beans and topped with grated cheese. She liked this version! Served with rice and mixed grains from one of those lazy microwave sachets.

She also had a chocolate crispy cake she’d made at childminders.

Hope people keep posting, I really like seeing different ideas!

That’s a genius idea about the chilli as my daughter rejects it too but will eat baked beans, I’m going to try it!

Yesterday, she’s been unwell with a funny tummy and fevers so letting her eat whatever she would manage.

B- DH offered her shredded wheat, kiwi and blueberries but she only ate the fruit.
S- carrot cake organix bar x2, chocolate orange organix bar and some Pom bears
L- veggie sausage roll, sweet potato chips (usually she adores), tomatoes, cucumber - didn’t touch a thing
S- none after all the morning snacks
D- Mac n vegan cheese with spinach and tomatoes, fried tofu cubes, she ate a bit of everything. Dessert of peaches and soya yoghurt was devoured.

Hopefully a bit better luck today.

Yesterday was

Breakfast: Porridge with banana and peanut butter mixed through
Snack: Fruit at nursery
Lunch: Spag bol (2 nursery sized portions)
Snack: Bread and jam plus more fruit at nursery
Dinner: 2 bites of chili (Dinner is often rejected on nursery days as she has a more substantial afternoon snack).

Hope it works for your daughter too!

Mine has been particularly hungry today.

B - weetabix with milk and some milled seeds, raspberries, a potato cake with butter and then twenty minutes later when she said she was still hungry she had a handful of raisin wheats and some more raspberries.

Snack - rich tea biscuit at toddler group, then a mini chocolate bunny they were all given

Lunch - Spaghetti and meatballs (children’s menu at the pub), also ate some of my tomorrow and red pepper soup + bread, then half a banana my friend offered her

Snack - offered a babybel but refused once she’d peeled it, couple of olives

Dinner - the veg chilli leftover from last night, with toasted pita bread fingers.

She just caught DH ‘secretly’ eating Jaffa cakes and managed to wangle herself one of those too.

Kind of heavy on the sweet stuff today. But plenty of good stuff in there too so trying not to stress it. I do panic a bit about over feeding her sometimes, but it evens out with days where she isn’t a hungry.
