Recently had an unsolicited comment about my DS' 'tiny feet' 🤦🏻‍♀️ He is small in general but don't think his feet are tiny or out of proportion. He's a U.K. 8 and is 3.5 y/o.

DD is just turned 4 and size 8. She seems to go up a size every 10 months or so

doadeer · 15/01/2023 18:02

Gosh this is now making me think my son will be a giant. Op we can worry whether they are big or small! 😂

baconbarm · 15/01/2023 18:25

About to turn 4 DS is a 9.5 and people comment often on how big his feet are. Never in a bad way as such, more surprised maybe? But he's also is a skinny lad, and when this gets commented on I momentarily feel like this is a bad thing. For no good reason! I find it so interesting how things such as small, slim, dainty can be used almost as insults to boys and yet would be perceived as compliments to girls.

DD is 3 years and 4 months, wears a size 7.

Woahhohoho · 15/01/2023 18:41

He's 4 in April and wears a 10. His 5 yo sister is an 11.5 🤦‍♀️. They cost me a lot of money.

I'm a 7 so obviously we're a big footed family.

Chickpea17 · 15/01/2023 18:43

My 4 year old 5 in September is a 9.5 from clarks

Rover83 · 15/01/2023 18:45

My 2y2m old has size 7 feet. My eldest is 7 and in size 2 so they do have larger feet. I remember in preschool a mum actually laughed out loud at my daughter and how giant her feet were, I think she was a size 11/12 at 4

bloodywhitecat · 15/01/2023 19:30

My 2 and a half year old is in a size 4.

samstownsunset · 15/01/2023 19:47

Measured last week in Clarks and 7.5, DS is only two and a half years old but very tall and heavy so I'd expect his feet to be a bit bigger than average.

We're a tall family but we don't have big feet for our height I don't think.

I'm 5ft 10" and size 6
DH 6ft 2" and size 9-10

My 6ft 3" teen DS is only a size 9

IsabelaYourBoyfriendsHere · 15/01/2023 19:51

My little girl turned 3 at the beginning of this month and wears a size 6. She's small for her age though.

DottyLittleRainbow · 15/01/2023 19:52

4y4m DD has size 8.5. All kids follow different centiles for growth in different areas. Ignore the comments! Some people just always have to comment on something.

SnackyOnassis · 15/01/2023 19:52

My son is 2 and 2 months and is in a size 8.5 😅
Reading this thread I realise now that's quite large, but his feet are fairly proportionate and he's well balanced, so I'm not concerned; my husband's also 6ft 5 so his son's unlikely to be petite!

Mylittlesandwich · 15/01/2023 19:52

DS has not long turned 3 and he's in a size 10. He is tall for his age.

Cuppasoupmonster · 15/01/2023 19:53

DD is 3.5 and wears a 7.5. She’ll be pleased of her dinky little feet when she’s older! I’m 5’9 but only a size 6, so she probably takes after me. Her dad doesn’t have big feet either

rhowton · 15/01/2023 19:54

5y4m is size 12
3y8m is size 9

JustKeepSlimming · 15/01/2023 19:54

JJJSchmidt · 15/01/2023 17:05

Age 3 years and 1 month and she is a size 4, so she would deserve amd often gets comments about her tiny feet!! Only child i know to wear out her shoes!!

DD was like this! We had to replace shoes because they were worn out, not because they were outgrown!

When she started school her feet were so small that Clark's didn't have small enough shoes in stock and had to order them in.

Our neighbour had a baby whose feet were larger at birth than DD's were at the same time - and she was 3 by then!

Hummusanddipdip · 15/01/2023 19:54

Ds is 3 years 6 months, he's a 7.5.
But he is tichy, I can dress him in 18 month to 2 years clothes. Bit dh and I are short, so he's got no chance 🤣

Holeymoleymacaroni · 15/01/2023 19:55

My son is 3.5 and in a size 6. I didn't realise that was pretty small until reading these comments!

Cantbebotheredwithchores · 15/01/2023 19:55

OP @B1993 you come across some crackers when your a parent don't you? 🤣 My daughter is exactly the same age and the same shoe size. I can't say I've asked anyone their children's shoe size

GlamGiraffe · 15/01/2023 19:57

My daughter is 5.5years old and still takes an 8.5e. She really is small. Shoes didn't come small enough for her when she first walked!

Highfivemum · 15/01/2023 19:59

my 4 yr 2 month DS is a size 11 1/2. Big for age though and my DC who is 2 is a size 8 1/2.
don’t worry what anyone says.

PepsiMaxandPringleStacks · 15/01/2023 20:04

My boy is 4 and wears a 7, he has small feet 🤣😭😭

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 15/01/2023 20:06

Mine was 3 last week, and is a size 7

BrewandBiscuit · 15/01/2023 20:06

4.5yo boy and he’s in a 12.5! Was born with massive feet though and is tall!

tiggergoesbounce · 15/01/2023 20:09

Our son is really petite. He is 5.5 years and in a size 8.5.
Only in aged 3/4 trousers
But in 5 to 6 tops 🤷‍♀️
He is who he is and thankfully we are all different. It would be nice if people kept their comments to themselves. Sadly, they dont, but OP im sure your DC is just perfect irrelevant of shoe size, weight or height 😁😍
