We are starting weaning our daughter in the next few weeks, so I'm just looking for recommendations of good highchairs.
Thank you 😊

Most people will say this one: IKEA Antilop

Cheap, easy to wipe down etc.

BugsyDrakeTableScape · 09/01/2023 20:20

Yep IKEA - versatile and indestructible

bellsbuss · 09/01/2023 20:21

I've had them from £80-£300 , waste of money. With my last baby I bought an IKEA one with the insert. Could have saved myself hundred of pounds with my others.

IKEA. Have about 3 - one at mine, one at each grandparents house. Cheap cheerful & easy to clean.

I was going to recommend the hauck one we got as it has two seats, one is a little baby lying back seat. It was so so useful for us as we have a dog and it was good to have him up somewhere out of the road when we needed to get stuff done. The normal high chair seat in it is good too though. It’s called the sit n relax or something, there were a few versions of it. My mum has the ikea one for him but he grew out of it so early (15 months) and would always try to stand up in it. We got nice accessories for it from a place called grey fox designs

I got Tripp trap one from ebay which has grown with her. She is now two and climbs up it herself to sit at the table with us. When baby 2 has done with it I will put it back on ebay and hopefully get most of money back on it.

IKEA or Stokke Tripp Trapp.

Shouldhavebutdidnt · 09/01/2023 20:39

Like PP had the Ikea Antilop & have the Tripp Trap - almost 4 year old gets themselves in and out of the Tripp Trapp but the IKEA went in the dishwasher so was perfect for messy weaning.

On a weaning note you need the Bibado bibs - they are outstanding! Ours have been going strong for 3.5 years (have added a bit more Velcro on the back so the still fit!!)

I found the legs of the IKEA one to be really wide so I often bumped into them and it wasn't easy to store. I'd go with a booster style seat on the dining chairs you have now. Plastic tray on the dining table for baby's food. Easy to take to friend's houses too.

NannyR · 09/01/2023 20:41

Antilop or stokke tripp trapp. Steer clear of anything with lots of padding or added features like reclining, you want something simple and easy to clean.

Madamecastafiore · 09/01/2023 20:42

Trip trappe. We still have 2 at our dining table and the DCs still sit on them. 18 and 10 do they've grown with them.

quietnightmare · 09/01/2023 20:42

Anyone as they are all perfect for your baby to throw their food on the floor. But in all seriousness ikea one is great

IKEA or Stokke Tripp Trapp.

I’ve got to Tripp trap, which is great. But also an ikea one at my mum’s - which is considerably cheaper!

Cupcakegirl13 · 09/01/2023 20:45

Another vote for Ikea here, goes in the dishwasher too !

MaggieMagpie357 · 09/01/2023 20:45

Definitely Ikea. So easy to clean and transport!
