Just that really. He needs a wash and I physically can’t hold him down to wash him. Any tips?!

Pop him in the sink or bath. Obviously not too much water though or swill him under a mixer tap.

Thank you all so much! I have this angel thing but it seems so big as she’s not even a month old!!

im honestly dreading it, they hate their clothes being off and it will
be screams from start to finish.

I used the sink at that age.

Feed her first, then she won't be screaming.

A shnuggle baby bath was one of the best things we bought for our second. Made bathing him so much less stressful. Didn’t stop the initial crying but it was easy to deal with them. They also loved it later on.

I used to run a tepid bath for me and pop them in with me. When they were tiny I bent my legs and used my thigh-knee area as a bathing support for them. Once they were big enough, we just played. I'm not sure I could stomach the heating costs for all that water this year though!

I had one of https://amzn.eu/d/hH8NKus these bath supports which made life much easier. Get a towel and change mat, clothes and a nappy ready before you bring, so you can whisk the baby out of the warm water and get them dry and dressed quickly.

We have the foam bath 'support' from home bargains, only a couple of £. Had 1 for all 3 as new horns and it's worked great! The weight of them on it allows the water to soak through it and it's comfy enough for them to lay on for the few minutes they're in the bath with just a few inches of water needed.

Schnuggle bath. It kind of props to baby up with a bum rest so it's relatively hands free (as in you don't have to hang onto a slippy baby for dear life while you wash them).
So easy. Have used with both my daughters snd recommend to everyone.

Do you really need to bath them?

Obviously you need to keep your baby clean, but that doesn't have to be by bathing them.

I used to use oil with a few drops of lavender oil. massage, then wipe clean.

DS2 loathed the bath until he was able to sit up firmly by himself. So I didn't put him in it (or me through it).

They don't get that grubby when tiny (other than bums, which you can wash without a full bath) or slobber
