Night light or no night light?

My baby has been really unsettled in her sleep at the moment. She is teething but I was wondering, do any other mums use a nightlight in their nursery? Baby is 9 months and we have a grow egg, but I’m wondering if it’s too bright in her room for her.

would be interested to see what other people have and if it works

No nightlight. It's a habit that's a nuisance if you stay away from home and can hinder healthy development of the eye.

We used to have a little one that was on the plug that went into the wall. It gave only just enough light to be able to see when we were up in the night. It eventually moved into the hall way.

Ditto. Handy for an older child just to have a nighttime wee. Handy too just to look in on the baby

We have a red night light for our 3 year old. She suffered from night terrors and the night light seemed to help dispell them. Plus she has a tendency to sit bolt up right at least once a night and it gives enough light to find her teddy bear and settle down. The red apparently doesn't disturb the sleep hormones as much as blue or white light does but still gives enough light so the room isn't pitch black.

We had a small, dim nightlight in the hallway for trips to the loo, but that's all.

We tried to avoid reliance on a light in the bedroom, or doors left ajar, because ultimately it's an inconvenience.
