What time do your children go to bed?

My little one is 4 and she's in bed at 7pm most nights.

Ds 2.5- 7-7.30pm
Dd 4- 7-7.30pm
Dd6 - 7-8pm depends some nights tired and goes early after clubs, sometimes reads to herself and is asleep at 8pm.
Ds7 7.30-8pm like his sister depends as some nights very tired.

On Friday the older two stay up a little later and Saturday is movie or games for the older two.

Holidays vary.

@Eileen101 can I ask what time your eldest wakes up? My 4 yr old loves her sleep and would still have a (long) nap if I let her. She geberally sleeps from 7.30pm-7am but is still relentlessly tired.

The difficulty is she shares a bedroom with her younger brother who is less keen on sleep.

ThatDreamSheep · 26/01/2022 19:24

2yo and 5yo (in reception). Both in bed at the same time, between 7 and 7.30- 5yo needs to be woken up by about 7.30am to get ready for school, 2yo wakes me up climbing in my bed between 5 and 6am!

6yo & 9yo both in bed by 8.30-9pm (asleep by 9.30-10pm)

Wowcherarestalkingme · 26/01/2022 19:25

Both upstairs at 6.30.
Ds 2 in bed by 7
Ds 5 in bed by 7.30 though he really struggles with getting to sleep so at least once a week is still wide awake at nine

Ihaveoflate · 26/01/2022 19:29

2.5 year old lights out 7pm on nursery days (doesn't nap) and 7:30 other days because she has a 30 min nap at lunchtime. She's asleep within 20-15 mins

Lostmyway86 · 26/01/2022 19:29

15 month old and 2.5 year old both in bed by 6pm and asleep by 6.30! This has been since by eldest dropped her nap and youngest has moved to 1 nap. Both sleep through to 7am, I'm lucky I know. I have been seriously obsessed with routines since they were born and definitely enjoying the one we have now.

LakeShoreD · 26/01/2022 19:30

1YO at 6.30, 4YO at 7 and they go to sleep within seconds. Then they’re both up at 6.30 in the morning which suits us well.

MintyGreenDream · 26/01/2022 19:31

Nearly 8 yrs.
7.45/8

SarahJessicaParker3 · 26/01/2022 19:32

My 4yo and 7yo both go to bed at 9! They sleep till 7.30-8am or sometimes later on a weekend.

RussianSpy101 · 26/01/2022 19:34

My boys are 2 & 4 and are both asleep for 7.30pm but it can be anywhere between 7-7.30 depending on which day of the week it is (swimming lessons etc)
DD is 8 and goes to sleep at 8.

RussianSpy101 · 26/01/2022 19:35

@Lostmyway86 I’m the same with routines! Mine all sleep until anywhere between 6.45-7.30.

Reallycantbesarsed · 26/01/2022 19:35

My lot were in bed and asleep by 630. They were ready to go to sleep and I felt very sorry for people who had their children up late ! Definitely needed time out in the evening. They were pretty good at staying in bed until about 7.30 am ,so all good 😊

HardbackWriter · 26/01/2022 19:37

We start bathtime at 6.45 for my nearly 1 and 3.5yos and they're normally actually asleep between 7.30 and 7.45. I have to wake them at 7 on the three days a week they go to nursery but they sleep until around 7.30/8 otherwise. We have tried to get them to bed a bit quicker as they can both get pretty tired but we don't eat until 6 so it feels very rushed to be any earlier.

Neurodiversitydoctor · 26/01/2022 19:39

At 4 ;
DS 8-8:30 always, always, always up by 7am latest.
Dd 6:45-7:15 needed waking at 7:45

Caspianberg · 26/01/2022 19:39

20 month old - 8.30/9pm. Wakes 6.30am. He just doesn’t seem to need much sleep.

stormelf · 26/01/2022 19:41

2 and 4 year old any time between 6.30 and 7.30 but 2 year old has only just gotten into this routine. A few months ago we were lucky if he went to bed before ten. Newborn is nocturnal

Mol1628 · 26/01/2022 19:42

7 year old - 6:30 we start bedtime and he’s asleep by 7:30 at the latest

9 year old - 7:45 bed time and he is awake reading till 8:30 at the latest.

They both wake up somewhere between 6 and 7am.

Mommabear20 · 26/01/2022 19:43

19 month old god up at 6.45, pyjamas, teeth, nappy change and story then into bed at 7.
6 month old goes as soon as I've put the older 1 down but he has a bottle as well.

Peabody25 · 26/01/2022 19:52

8YO in bed anytime between 7-7:30 during the week and anytime up to 9:00 on the weekend. During the week he reads till 8:30 then lights out. Wakes up anytime between 6:30-7:00.

Opus17 · 26/01/2022 19:55

My 18 month old goes to bed between 9-9:30pm. Can't for the life of me change it but it works for us. He sleeps until sometime between 7:30-8:30. Takes him bloody ages to fall asleep but when he does, he's out.

Livpool · 26/01/2022 19:59

DS is 6 and we aim for 8-8:45. He fights going to bed every night

Tiredtiredtired100 · 26/01/2022 20:09

3yo - bath starts sometime between 6:30-7:00 so asleep after stories by 7:30 is the plan. On a day where he’s had a late afternoon nap though that is often pushed back by half an hour. He sometimes stays awake in bed singing/playing with teddies for a while though.

Sunshine1235 · 26/01/2022 20:14

7pm (1yo, 4yo, 5yo), the older two won’t always go to sleep straight away though they might talk to each other for a bit or listen to an audio story.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 26/01/2022 20:16

8&10yos... 8pm.

When DD1 was 4, she went at 6pm but her school started at 7am and we left home at 7am to get there.

When she was 6-8yo, it was 7-7.30pm.

At 8.5yo it moved to 8pm (in Lockdown 1 really). DD2s bedtime just followed her big sisters really, she's never liked sleep as much. Even now, DD2 is reading, DD1 is asleep!
