I am getting together a book collection for my little one and I'm looking for some good book suggestions!

What are your top 3 children's books for ages 0-5?

Thanks :)

For under 2s I love Clip Clop.

Funny bones. Can't believe that's not been mentioned yet.

Burgler Bill and Cops and Robbers are loved by my 18 month old.

Where the Wild Things Are

Also, when a little older, the Jolly Postman books.

For smaller babies anything with lots of animal pictures. Or babies first word type books where they can help ‘read’.

Lots of good ideas on this thread. Love the Allbergs, Mog etc.

For slightly older I love Arnold Lobel Frog and Toad, and Mouse Tales.

Also most Dr Seuss books - including Oh the Places You’ll Go, Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham.

Jon Klassen This is Not My Hat and his other books are a nice change of pace from most picture books (decidedly not twee!) and the kids love them.

I also really like Gemma Merino’s books especially The Crocodile Who Didn’t Like Water.

And Meg and Mog books are fun.

Anything by Inga Moore for the older age bracket: Six Dinner Sid, A House in the Woods, Captain Cat.
