What should I do. I'm hoping for natural solutions.

Go for a walk, bicycle legs, rocks on hands and knees.
But main answer is go to chemist and buy the poor kid some medicine.
Most medicines are natural products that have potentially been made more effective, more appropriate concentrations and rigorously tested.
Most gas relief medicine is calcium carbonate (chalk) for example.

When I was pregnant I used to get on hands and knees and out my head on the floor with my bum as high in the air as I could. Usually shifted something!

ArnottsUnderpass · 16/04/2021 20:07

Hot bath, peppermint tea, tummy massage like for babies

Relaxing in a warm bath used to help DS2 with this.

Oh yes, clockwise tummy massage!

Aquamarine1029 · 16/04/2021 20:09

Are you sure it's gas? Could it be his appendix?

Theunamedcat · 16/04/2021 20:10

Yoga position downward dog? Basically get the arse as high as possible

Second this, always works for me, not very elegant but who cares when you're in pain
imalmostthere · 16/04/2021 20:26

Hands and knees, face down arse up and rock a bit, works every time for me and I suffer badly with ibs

There are some yoga videos on YouTube specifically for trapped wind. Also peppermint tea. Is he too young for Deflatine that always works for me.

Oblomov21 · 16/04/2021 20:29

Peppermint oil from the chemist is the best thing EVER. They give it to ladies after a c-section. Works within minutes.

Horehound · 16/04/2021 20:31

Yes I came on to say a bath too

SallyMcNally · 16/04/2021 20:33

Mug of warm water in combo with any of the above.

MinesAPintOfTea · 16/04/2021 20:33

Is it moving? Because appendicitis feels very like trapped gas. Lower right hand side of abdomen. If you are sure it is gas, moving helps. Walk/run/trampoline...

Invisimamma · 16/04/2021 20:34

Rennie deflatiine, available in pharmacies.

But if it doesn't shift soon you should take him to see a doctor as it could be something else.

PuppyMonkey · 16/04/2021 20:38

Gavisgon is pretty good for this. Also bend down touch toes.

Well it can't be guaranteed, op, but these are natural solutions that are generally reliable at helping and many of us have tried them and found them effective.

Gentle movement can also help, or lying on stomach. Hot water bottle too.

sarahc336 · 16/04/2021 20:51

Moving around, hands and knees, warm drink xx

Willow4987 · 16/04/2021 20:52

Definitely peppermint oil capsules. It’s always recommended after a c section as the trapped wind pain is AWFUL!

Watto1 · 16/04/2021 20:52

Can he stand on his head? Sounds silly but it works!

Saisong · 16/04/2021 20:55

Drink some warm water then lay on a bed and as vigorously as possible bounce their body, every now and again rotate a quarter turn - so basically bounce lying on back, then lying on side, on front then on other side. It looks quite hilarious but can get any trapped wind moving. Then i agree get down on all 4s with arse in the air and head low. So glam!

WeatherwaxLives · 16/04/2021 20:56

I second (third?) getting on all fours, head on the floor, bum in the air and rock back and forth.

I have IBD and get horrific pains. It always shifts it.

Twinkie01 · 16/04/2021 20:58

Get him to have a big slurp of gripe water and a warm bath.
