What should I do. I'm hoping for natural solutions.

On all 4s with head to the ground and bum stuck in the air. I also rock my pelvis whilst doing it!

takemetomars · 16/04/2021 21:24

Are you sure it isn't migraine

Voice0fReason · 16/04/2021 21:56

@Whippet

Oh yes, clockwise tummy massage!
Yes this!

When my mum had terribly trapped gas after an operation the nurses told her to bring her knees up - feet together on the floor and the move her legs (knees together) from side to side.

A cup of warm water works a treat for my DC when they've had trapped wind. Also yes to peppermint.

Gaviscon and rennies etc only suitable for over 12s

cricketmum84 · 16/04/2021 22:07

My DD is 12 and has suffered from chronic constipation and gas pain for years now. Clockwise tummy massage usually helps her.

If it's an ongoing thing I would seek GPS advice though when they open after the weekend.

Maggiesfarm · 16/04/2021 22:16

I have had this often and it is really very painful. I've found a hot drink helps get the wind (and sometimes other...), moving.

Theunamedcat · 16/04/2021 22:20

There is a "hilarious" post in Facebook with a man sunning his butthole this position is fab for trapped gas as my son demonstrated to me after seeing it blew the cats whiskers about a bit

LadyLolaRuben · 16/04/2021 22:50

Get him to kneel down on the floor and then lean forward until his head touches the floor in front on him - head will be by his knees. Things will start working their way out within a few minutes

OnceUponaTime12 · 25/08/2021 21:33

@GreenLeafTurnip

When I was pregnant I used to get on hands and knees and out my head on the floor with my bum as high in the air as I could. Usually shifted something!
What do you reccomend.

If he’s still got trapped wind after four months, then yes, GP.

DismantledKing · 25/08/2021 21:41

Well, this is weird

PuppyMonkey · 25/08/2021 21:42

I was about to recommend Gaviscon but I see I already did that in April.Grin

SilverTimpani · 25/08/2021 21:51

This is the weirdest thread ever

Caaarrrl · 25/08/2021 21:51

The most annoying thing is that OP cannot spell recommend correctly.

Notavegan · 25/08/2021 21:54
