What age most difficult

At what age did you find your children most difficult to parent?

My 3 year old is driving me absolutely nuts with all the backchat, the doing the opposite to what I ask, purposely lamping her sister for no reason. Just generally doing anything to get a rise.

This is definitely the hardest age for me. What about everyone else?

Between 10 and 13. I had to just wing it and hope I'd keep my sanity. I think I lost it a fair few times.

Babyboomtastic · 02/02/2021 18:53

2.5-3. Wiithout a doubt.

Ineedsleepzz · 02/02/2021 19:45

Oh my gosh @TheChip. I was definitely hoping you were going to say a similar age. Dreading the next decade now hahah

Teenagers. Always.

Girls it’s 12 to 16 with 14 the worst year. Boys 15 to 18 with 16 being the worst.

boymum9 · 02/02/2021 19:50

For my eldest I am get to reach an age for him that's been difficult...! he's 5 now so I'm sure that will come.
For my youngest the most difficult age has been 0-3.5 (he's 3.5 now!!Grin). In all honestly though he's always been though but he's now getting to be slightly easier and was particularly hard from 2-3.5

Fascinationends · 02/02/2021 19:51

Mine was Very Trying at 12 and I am currently finding 15 difficult.

purpleme12 · 02/02/2021 19:53

Well mine is 7 and I would say it's the hardest by miles
I've had enough of her

Wbeezer · 02/02/2021 19:54

12-16, little kids, little problems, big kids, big problems. Saying that DS1 has been difficult to keep happy from the start but when he was little he got over his moods quickly and went to bed early!

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 02/02/2021 19:55

14-16
They think they're invincible and know it all and think we're ancient dinosaurs who can't possibly understand.
They think they're the first to do/think everything and can't comprehend you did it ages ago and teenage arrogance is second to none!

Done sorry though they get better.

daisypond · 02/02/2021 19:57

Teens. I found toddlers quite hard too.

purpleme12 · 02/02/2021 19:57

God I don't want to have to go through the older years 😞 I don't know how I'm going to do it

CuppaZa · 02/02/2021 19:57

Teens!! OMG baby/toddlers everything else packed in comparison to teen years.

CuppaZa · 02/02/2021 19:58

*pales

cretelover · 02/02/2021 19:58

Sympathies OP. I have a 3 year old too, not far off 4 and getting worse by the day. Nothing is working. I'm at my wits end.

LetItGoGo · 02/02/2021 19:59

2 - 3
15 - 16

TheChip · 02/02/2021 20:00

Don't worry people. You do adapt with the ages Smile

LetItGoGo · 02/02/2021 20:00

The first is exhausting. The second veered from exasperating to terrifying.

CheshireCats · 02/02/2021 20:00

12-16

apricotdreams · 02/02/2021 20:01

Teens without a doubt

ValpolicellaPrimitivo · 02/02/2021 20:03

DS is only nearly 5, but so far for me it was about 2 to 2.5.

Mumof3girlsandaboy · 02/02/2021 20:07

12-16

Toocold · 02/02/2021 20:08

1.5-2.5 with all three of mine, they’re now two teenagers, (one an older teen (girl) and a preschooler... I’d take these ages any-day over a 1.5-2.5 year old!

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 02/02/2021 20:08

I am finding the teen years far more difficult than anything I have experienced before..

SpaghettiSpoons · 02/02/2021 20:09

Teens, without a shadow of a doubt. Plus they're bloody expensive!!

WouldstrokeTomHardy · 02/02/2021 20:09

Teens hands down.
