Hiya
My DH and I had DS1 on Saturday and are completely new to parenting so please be nice to me haha!
He's good as gold all day, such a happy little boy and eats/sleeps like a dream during the day.
This is the third night of having him here and we cannot get him to settle. Everyone keeps recommending we get a chicco next to me but before I shell out on one, can anyone let me know if they make any difference? We have a Moses basket (which he hates!) so didn't really want to have to buy a next to me too but I don't know if I'm jumping the gun and anyone has any advice on how we can get any sleep at all at night? Last night we managed 45 mins all night and that was because we did shifts 🙈 or is there a cheaper version of the next to me that you've used that's been just as good??
Desperate first time parents in much need of some sleep!!

This thread is a little old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for a crib or bedside co-sleeper, we’ve recently updated our best cribs page with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users and their babies. We hope you find it useful.
