Lovely piece from the Guardian this week - made me laugh! Here.

Oh yes, I get this too. I don't think mothers of only girls have any idea of what is normal for boys. The comments and looks I get from them when the boys are charging around looking as though they are beating seven bells out of each other and creating noise for England are incredibly annoying.

Before my dh had his vasectomy, the Doctor who was going to perform it evan asked if we were sure we didn't want to try 4 a girl!
For starters, we would not have been there if we were thinking of another & also you should not advise people 2 try 4 a certain sex anyway. It's not like u would be guaranteed another child would be female & people should try 4 babies because they want a baby, not just a certain sex imh.
Just ignore these stupid people Scate & enjoy your little boy's!
Congratulations from me!

Another tactless comment I got today (babe 3 is 3 days old so you can imagine the state of my hormones anyway!!!) - a friend's Dad came over to drop a gift off from her (she lives 200 miles away and he'd just been visiting) and said 'so you've got 3 boys then? I prefer girls myself. I think they are more loyal'.

AAAARRRRRGGHGHGHGHGHG!!!

Freckle and Tigermoth - I get the same thing exactly!! NCT group friends with 2 girls look at the boys in the group as if they are exceptionally naughty but they are just different to the girls. She will say what a lovely day she's had and that she got to do this and that while her 2 DD sat and watched The Wizard of Oz twice all the way through and then had a nap!! Ha ha ha!!! Mine won't sit in front of the TV for more than about 5 mins - they like it on in the background but they've energy to burn and they are off that seat to charge round before I've made it up the stairs for a wee!!!!

I have four boys aged from two to eleven.
I think girls and boys are equally wearing on the ears but in very different ways.
When I help at school the boys make lots of general noise but don't want to involve an adult in their goings on.
The girls are constant "Miss, Miss, Sarah isn't doing her work." "Miss, Miss, John is talking." "Miss, Miss, Look at me, Miss"
