I'm winging it and hoping no one finds out. So my hit rate is 50-50.

Sometimes I think they suspect.

Often.

Sometimes it feels like every decision you make is wrong.

Sometimes you think you've got it right, only to be proved wrong ~(again).

Hopefully it's just a phase for you.

Several times a day. The funny thing is, before I had DC's I was convinced I would be the most perfect mother in the world. LOL

we went to Wales last weekend and dd1 was being her usual sensitive (odd?) self and ruining things tbh

dh was an oasis of calm and patience

I was stalking about like an old angry bag

they don't come with an instruction booklet, mores the pity

I'm the opposite. I have very occasional flashes when I think I might be doing reasonably well. The rest of the time I am floundering and wondering how on earth I ended up the mother of a 2 year old!

absolutely with tribpot - my head appears above water briefly and then I'm down and drowning again.

I have worked with children for years, so you would think I would know how to do things just right, but I so don't!

Pink - I think it's worse if you think you should know what you're doing. I have loads of nephews and nieces and confidently imagined that that would somehow translate into usable experience. Ha flipping ha.

I think if we're honest, we're all just blagging it.

All the time. Ds is 3.4 and sometimes I think, " this is not qutie how I imagined my parenting to be".

I am NNEB qualified & have always worked with children, so thought I would cope with motherhood just fine, but how wrong can you be?!!

Absolutely!
I always remember being heavily pregnant with DS1 & having a friend say to me "You will be just fine as a mum because you work with children!"
I foolishly thought "Yes, she's right, I'll be fine, I just need to get through the birth & the rest will be a breeze!"
Ha ha, how bloody foolish was I?!!

LOL! They are best kept at that non talking/moving age!!
