I always think of Franny and Greeny as a duo

like Rhubarb and custardo

I am actually very of that fact (but pleased for you too!) because I can't see an end to ours (but parenting tends to make you feel that way, doesn't it).

When are you off on your jolly?

PinkTulips · 25/05/2007 12:01

lunavix or hatrick i think

FrannyandZooey · 25/05/2007 12:01

Yes we are usually on the same wavelength fox

Greeny however spends hours with her children constructing scale models of Finland from hemp and lentils and then doing interpretive dances about it*

and I just sit on my arse MNing while ds plays with a paperclip

*this is meant to be infused with admiration not sound like out and out mockery. I think my and got in the way

ahundredtimes · 25/05/2007 12:02

I don't know, am too new. Who's sensible?

wabbit · 25/05/2007 12:03

My mum says I should like I'm training a puppy, not raising a child so not sure who else is like that!

Bink · 25/05/2007 12:03

I often cross-post with contributions nearly identical to Earlybird's

and recognise lots of what Sphil says

FrannyandZooey · 25/05/2007 12:03

sensible?

erm, Enid

wabbit · 25/05/2007 12:03

sound not should

Oblomov · 25/05/2007 12:06

Twiglett

Tutter · 25/05/2007 12:07

most of the time franny

with a splash of cod thrown in to stop me becoming too lentilly

ahundredtimes · 25/05/2007 12:07

Oh goodness. Perhaps I'm not THAT sensible. Have no idea now.

FrannyandZooey · 25/05/2007 12:08

oh I think Franny with a dash of cod is a DEVASTATING combination

foxinsocks · 25/05/2007 12:11

I also think MI has a similar approach to me but is more sensible and worthy (in a nice way)

unknownrebelbang · 25/05/2007 12:17

Not sure.

How about someone partnering me?

I have firm expectations with regard to behaviour (but acknowledge that they are children, whose role it is to push boundaries and misbehave).

I also sometimes lack consistency, through tiredness and lazyness, and general can't-be-arsedness.

I have been known to shout, and I do believe "because I say so" is acceptable, occasionally, when explanations have been ignored.

I feel uptight about my parenting, until I come on to MN, then realise that, actually, I'm fairly laidback, lol.

So... Who can I be matched with?

expatinscotland · 25/05/2007 12:17

JoolsToo

ahundredtimes · 25/05/2007 12:19

Oooh rebel, I will, I will.

unknownrebelbang · 25/05/2007 12:23

strange Expat you chose JoolsToo too and I'm not sure we would be parenting partners, would we? (suddenly at a loss to recall your parenting attitude)

tortoiseSHELL · 25/05/2007 12:26

Not sure for me - can think of one or two possibilities, what do you think?

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 25/05/2007 12:28

Custy.
