having decided on 2 did anyone else have a last minute panic when they hit 5 and 7 or thereabouts?

Hat - my two were 5 and 7 when we decided to have a third (fourth now on its way )

Off-subject - are you going to bid for Hat in the auction?

katwith3kittens · 30/04/2007 13:11

Yep, definitely

Mine are 10 and 6 ( a girl and a boy )

and now we've got a lovely 4 month little baby. Most people assume he was a mistake until I add that we've still got the cot, pram, highchair, car seats etc... tends to make them shut up smartish !

Yes!
Last year when dd was 4 and ds was 6 suddenly became overwhemlingly broody.
Didn't expect to at all, I'd given all baby stuff away as soon as dd hit one.
It felt odd and really did feel like a biological urge as my head was telling me no, no, no!
If I was five years younger I would have acted on my feelings but decided I couldn't cope with pregnancy, birth and first year.

we have dd (3) and that was going to be it, but in the last couple of weeks I've become very, very broody. I'm going to be 40 in November and then theres the affordability factor (I know, I know - how can you put a price an a child! ). Reading this post makes me yearn physically for another; something I never expected in a million years. Oh dear

I have just realised I don't belong on this thread as I don't have two, but I still feel very broody!

Enid · 01/05/2007 11:06

yes we did this on holiday

except ours were 5 and 3

was a moment of madness

dd3 is now 1

mumto3girls · 01/05/2007 11:12

A brilliant decision and we are desperate for another...

Small age gap between all of mine but DS2 number 3 happened on the one month where DH and me both said we wanted a third. Even after the deed was done we were saying perhaps not, but it was too late. DS2 has brought so much to our family dynamic. He has been demanding (just diagnosed with severe dyslexia, so that may be a factor) but also so loved by DS1 and DD. And now I have never wanted another, not even for a moment. We are complete (and I could never have said that before he arrived).

If I'd had another baby every time I felt broody I'd have about a hundred children by now! It's nature's crafty way of making us perpetuate the species - I'm doing quite well with four dc myself.
