DH had said no more (we have two, DS who's one and DD who's three) and I have just had a wobbly moment looking at LadyTopamHatt's gorgeous wee man and thinking I'll never have one again.
But I will have sleep..... one day.....

pickledpear · 29/04/2007 20:54

i had resigned to no more when mine reached 5 and 7 my husband had the chop and then left me. i met a new man and before too long an accident a wonderful one happened he is now 2 i thank god i have him everyday and now i think maybe number 4 is not out of the question as i always would of loved a big family

SparklePrincess · 29/04/2007 21:12

Mine were 6 and 8 when our happy accident (sort of) happened. I was horrified at first, scared of upsetting the happy balance we had. He's 9 months now and utterly fabulous, he is the most adored baby on this planet. It has changed the family dynamics in the most wonderful way.

NotanOtter · 29/04/2007 21:23

my youngest was 6 when i decided there was room for another ( and another since) like frenchleave he has altered the whole family for the better. He is worshipped and I have not had a MINUTES regret

shouldbedoingsomethingelse · 29/04/2007 21:25

I have 4 and now my "baby" is 6 I'm even wondering about another. DH doesnt want anymore though (although he said that at 3 ;)

SparklePrincess · 29/04/2007 21:29

It actually seems normal to me for there to be two elder children & a third much younger. I am almost 9 years older than my little sister & my elder sister is 10 years older than her. Makes my proposed 7 year gap small in comparison Perhaps we should just go for it. Ive already been loitering on the conception boards & I havent even spoken to dh about it yet

hatwoman · 29/04/2007 21:32

funnily enough I have brothers 6 and 8 years older than me....(it did feel like a huge gap. a gap that feels bigger to teh small child, than to the parents imho

I keep wondering about this - there would be an age gap of at least 7 and nine years with the older ones, but I still feel there's a third baby I should have had! A friend once said that you can only regret NOT having a baby: you never regret having one, if that helps!

tigi · 29/04/2007 21:47

mine are 12,7,5 and I'm broody. DH had snip and can't afford another anyway, but doesn't stop me wanting....
but having a cat helps a bit, sort of!

RedLorryYellowLorry · 29/04/2007 21:52

Mine are 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 and I think about another one alot.

Rachmumoftwo · 29/04/2007 22:04

i got really broody about 6 months ago- I have one of 4 and one of 51/2. I honestly don't know how I would cope with another so ignored the feeling until it passed. it may come back though so who knows!

MrsWho · 29/04/2007 22:12

Mine are 5&7 and I am desparate for more kids but being single it isn't easy.I hate that there will be such a big age gap as my 2 are so close but there is nothing I can do

Wallace · 29/04/2007 22:25

Mine are 5 and 7, and...

9 months

Plus what Frenchleave said

swalesie · 30/04/2007 02:28

My babas 7months(need to stop calling him that or he wil think he's callecd baba) n Hees ssssooooooooooooo good, bed at 630 then he wakes at 8 half eight, never crys, cant wait till next one but dp says we need to move house first which is sensible!! Mother says "you dont know u got kids" Im guessin he will be a cunt come the teenage years.

ghosty · 30/04/2007 03:52

Oh dear.

Was so ready to leave it at 2.

DS is 7, DD is 3.

I read this thread and now feel ridiculously broody

twentypence · 30/04/2007 04:14

Ds will be 5 and at school next year and I predict a wobbly moment.

ghosty · 30/04/2007 04:16

Just make sure the wobbly moment is at the school gate, 20p ....

gingeme · 30/04/2007 10:53

Ive got 4 boys the youngest 6 months and hes an angel. As soon as he was born both dh and I said the famous words'no more'. Dh has his consultation for his snip in June so in the back of my head Im thinking 'well if it happens it happens'. Maybe that girl is just waiting to be made. Suppose to be having a depo injection in a couple of weeks but dont realy want to....Oh I dont know.

saltire · 30/04/2007 11:05

Mine are 9 and 7 and I am really broody. I had terrible pregnancies, hated every minute of both of them, and had severe PND after DS2. I don't want to go through it all again, but I do get very very broody

gingeme · 30/04/2007 11:16

Sorry didnt read the title properly. Dont have any at 5 or 7 but Im just broody ALL the time anyway Sorry !!

hannahsaunt · 30/04/2007 12:12

Mine will be just 7 and 4.75 when dc3 is born in September . Does seem like an enormous gap and as we have 2 boys already, what this one turns out to be could be quite significant in terms of having a 4th (aaaarrrrgggghhhh!). Dh has always liked the 2+2 model...babies don't take up that much room do they ?

Gameboy · 30/04/2007 12:18

Mine are 7 and 5 and I was convinced I was happy at two... then I went to a friend's house, picked up her newborn little girl and promptly burst into tears... Didnt realise I was soooo broody.

But we ARE sticking at two - I really don't want to go through all that again.. .. at least I don't think I do... do it?... well...erm...

gingeme · 30/04/2007 12:49

He he yeah you do Gameboy
