CeeBeebies programmes for babies

This terrible parent would like to know which programmes your babies like to watch so I can plonk my 4mth old in front of them and have five minutes to scratch my arse.
Only Teletubbies has caught his beady eye so far.

Your help (and silence) in this matter is much appreciated.

Thanks everyone.
I'm reading the list and wondering which will be bearable at 4.50am.
It's a toss up between Rasta Mouse and putting the washing on.

We had a listen to Dave and Ava.
Dave's singing style would indicate a couple of sherries were quaffed before a take.

Twirlywoos is a nice calm one that is good in the mornings. It was the first program my oldest liked and would sit through. He loves it. (it's starting now, go go go!) He also loves Hey Duggee.

He seems to quite like Twirywoos. He doesn't like the bits in the middle when it cuts to real kids, same with Teletubbies, so I have to forward those bits fast before he loses interest

S'cuse the spelling

My kids both adore the Little Baby Bum nursery rhymes on YouTube. They're annoying but by far the best nursery rhyme channel on there!

CaptainWarbeck · 13/11/2017 10:45

Another vote for both the washing machine and Peppa.

I used to prop my six month old up in a box and he'd sit quite happily sit and watch the clothes go round... and round...

fluffygreenmonsterhoody · 13/11/2017 10:48

Baby Einstein on YouTube.

Nursery we’re v excited when DS identified colours and shapes at a ridiculously early age. I was too mortified to admit it was the only thing that he’d watch so I could shower in peace...

revelsandrose · 13/11/2017 11:02

My 8 month old loved the washing machine, also the intro to any kids programme, once they start he loses interest!!!!

Steeley113 · 13/11/2017 11:04

Peppa and Ben and holly. Netflix is your friend.

Steeley113 · 13/11/2017 11:05

I find milkshake better then cbeebies too

CAAKE · 13/11/2017 11:05

Olobob Top, ITNGarden, Baby Jake and Clangers

CAAKE · 13/11/2017 11:07

Oooh, almost forgot Hey Duggee! Make sure you look out for the Tadpole episode 😂

DeadButDelicious · 13/11/2017 11:11

My 1 year old is very keen on Postman Pat. Other favourites (read: things that keep her still and quiet for longer than 10 seconds) are Duggee, olobob top, Mr Tumble (anything with St Justin in really), ITN garden, Andy's dinosaur adventures and unfortunately, Bing. I hate that rabbit.

DeadButDelicious · 13/11/2017 11:14

Oooh, almost forgot Hey Duggee! Make sure you look out for the Tadpole episode 😂

I think I like Duggee more than DD does. I love that episode! 😂

OP, I forgot waybuloo and my personal favourite, Sarah and Duck (quack).

If you can get iPlayer on your telly/whathaveyou she also liked the Peter Pan panto thinner. That one is on for 40 minutes. Grin

coragreta · 13/11/2017 11:30

If you watch Bing you also get to be envious of how great a parent flop is. He would never stick Bing in front of the tv while he Mumsnets. And certainly wouldn’t be frustrated that the episodes are only 7minutes!

I've completely misread the tone of that post. Apologies. It has been a long weekend.

TheWeatherGirl1 · 13/11/2017 13:58

So many awful programmes to wade through!

Thanks everyone

She's only 4 months old, please don't stick her in front of the TV, it's far too overwhelming for a newborn. Why not put her in the bouncer with something hung up in front of her - a mobile or a picture of something.

I know how difficult it is to get anything done but there are better options.

dustinclockwatcher · 13/11/2017 14:52

Baby jake. It's on iplayer

clarabellski · 13/11/2017 14:59

If you have a cable to project your PC/laptop onto your TV screen, you could put on some baby visualisations rather than a TV programme. You'll find them on google/youtube. Example:

Damocat · 13/11/2017 15:01

At 4 months my dd2 loved wissper. I think it’s on milkshake but we used to get it through the bt box thingy. She was exposed to tv pretty early due to being the third child but every time wissper came on she would stare transfixed until it finished. Wasn’t bothered about any other programme. Couldn’t believe a child so young could already have a favourite tv show Blush

Tastesjustlikecherrycola85 · 13/11/2017 15:04

Not Cbeebies, but both of mine were transfixed by the snowman at that age

HappyLandFan · 13/11/2017 15:10

DD loves
Teletubbies
Hey Dugee
Twirlywoos

Also Little Baby Bum channel on YouTube is great - lots of songs to sing and dance along to.
