Just a woohoo, feel the fluffy goodness kind of message

For any disposable user havin a look - now is the time real nappies are being promoted across the country... if you want to know if there is an event near you then ask on here and someone will know something (will add the list later today).

Cloth really isn't that scary... fits under most normal clothes, disposable liners means you are just throwing poo away - not washing it, from as little as 2 extra washloads a week, saves money, and most of all - it looks sooooo fluffy

Let us tempt you into the world of cloth....

(Oh and if you are reeeeeeeeeally desperate for the disposable, one lucky person can have my size 4 easy up sample!)

junkinmytrunk · 13/03/2007 17:53

I'm very interested in becoming an advisor.
But there are a couple already round here and wonder whether it will be worth my while.

Off to a nappuchino on thursday tho, looking forward to it for wseeks, how sad is that!

makesachange · 13/03/2007 19:41

Lady and anyone else - we're still recruiting advisors if you're interested.

Megandsoph, great advice from FS. However don't worry, Tots Bots are sooooo easy to use.

what is it like? tell me your personal exp if you would be so kind! lol

oHeleno · 13/03/2007 21:55

Origami - that's what put me off cloth nappies. Then when I started using them when Nell was 4 months - DING!!!! Easy, actually. And so much nicer.

So do try it.

Any advice on the urine? Will start a new thread.

DOWNSIDE - yes, girly-jean type clothing is a problem but there is great clothing out there. Tends though to be organic/fairly traded so is a bit more expensive but the quality stays wash after wash.

Helen (other Helen, will call myself oHelen!)

colditz · 14/03/2007 08:38

1st day in cloth

he pooed in one, almost immediately, but the liner lifted out ok.

I have prefolds in a boy-fold and it hasn't leaked yet, but if these are going to work, I desperately need some more nappies! And also thinking of putting 'my should be dry at night but isn't' 4 year old in one too. The wetness might persuade him to haul arse out of bed.

colditz · 14/03/2007 08:38

How long can they wear them for?

colditz · 14/03/2007 10:49

.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 14/03/2007 11:26

what 'ya mean cold? like till they need changing or what age/size range can you get?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 14/03/2007 11:27

if you want some prefolds, i have tons!

Flamesparrow · 14/03/2007 11:37

How long can they wear them - it all depends on the nappy. Prefolds always lasted DD about 3 hours, but it is a case of changing, seeing how wet it is and if you think it can go longer/less time next time.

Ages how long - again, different makes have different weights.

The only thing I have found to fit my big bummed nearly 4 yr old have been motherease bedwetter pants, but they are very expensive. If he is a slim/small 4 yr old then a boostered wambamboo should work, but the bulk between his legs will seriously p*ss him off (tried it on DD last night - she decided she didn't want it on afterall )

SAHMof1 · 14/03/2007 21:35

junkinmytrunk I?m an advisor, and I got together with two other advisors in my area and we set up the Swindon Real Nappy Network together. It?s not competition as we worked out our ?areas? and we pass on details when people call us to point people to theit local advisor. We meet up for someone to talk to about nappies without getting that blinkered ?are you some kind of eco-freak? look you get from other parents when you talk about cloth!

I say, contact both your local advisors and see what they say about joining up.

Is there a Real Nappy Network near you?

TrinityRhino · 14/03/2007 21:37

I'm going to the real nappy week roadshow happening at Carlisle

I'm meeting the advisor that lives nearest to me tomrrow at my first nappuchino (can you tell I'm excited!)

So perhaps I'll have a chat to her about it.

I would be interested to hear about the packages that are offered to advisor from the different companies

SAHMof1 · 14/03/2007 21:56

There was a thread on this a while back - hold on - I'll look
