I'm a social worker, and just because you're young that doesn't mean that social services will assume that there will be problems, unless you are already struggling in a way that will impact on you both being good parents or unless specific concerns emerge.
Do you think social care may become involved for some reason?

Even if they did, it's not necessarily a bad thing...they want to keep families together if at all possible, and can offer help.

I mean our age gap? Is that bad for them to complain

user1486273640 · 10/03/2017 02:05

The midwife or health visitor

Can I live with my boyfriend I'm 17 and he's 22 so can I set up and book a doctor appointment about this pregnancy that I'm living with him

JonesyAndTheSalad · 10/03/2017 02:07

I believe you're over the age of consent so in the eyes of the law there won't be a problem.

0riole · 10/03/2017 02:09

How old is your eldest child?

user1486273640 · 10/03/2017 02:10

ohh yes law that's right so I can make my own decisions

user1486273640 · 10/03/2017 02:10

It might be very difficult for you with two children that are so so little, so think about living where you will get the most support. Do you live with parents or on your own now? Do you have help with your eldest?

user1486273640 · 10/03/2017 02:18

Yeah I'm sure I'll manage though I'm very capable and I have allot of mothers supporting x

OP posts:
abbsisspartacus · 10/03/2017 02:26

They might be concerned not because of your age as such but combined with the age gap of your children it might be an issue

0riole · 10/03/2017 02:26

That's good to hear Smile don't worry about social services, if they do become involved they will do all they can to help you Flowers

MelinaMercury · 10/03/2017 02:30

Yes you can move in with him.

No there won't be any problems if you are both responsible parents.

Is this your boyfriend or husband OP?

blueskyinmarch · 10/03/2017 02:30

Social services won't be interested unless there are other issues which the midwives alert them to.

user1486273640 · 10/03/2017 03:32

Oh so if the midwife have any concern then they will be in contact with them that's all I wanted to know because I don't want the hassle at all 😊👑 x thankyou guys very much

OP posts:
MelinaMercury · 10/03/2017 03:35

Didn't you see a midwife last time?

user1486273640 · 10/03/2017 03:44

Yes I did but I never was living with him x we was at mums

OP posts:
shitgibbon · 10/03/2017 04:54

Your age gap should not be a concern. It is not a significant age gap. It may seem like it now but when you're 23 he'll be 28, totally normal.

picklemepopcorn · 10/03/2017 05:48

17 is young to have a 5 month old by a 22yr old dad. If your parents support you and the HCPs don't see controlling coercive behaviour from him, then they won't say anything.

user1486273640 · 10/03/2017 10:13

Yeah I'm really close to my mother 😊💓 x hopefully everything will be smooth and I can move in with him cause it will be nice having him with both of the kids instead of us mostly staying at mums it's time to be more independent I get my benifits I will be fine and he works to provide too x

MelinaMercury · 10/03/2017 13:26

OP I'm really confused by your posts at the moment.

A few weeks ago you posted on the infertility board stating that you were a "married gypsy" surely you would already be living together?

picklemepopcorn · 10/03/2017 13:33

However can you tell 'users' apart, Melina? I can't even remember the number long enough to look it up...

MelinaMercury · 10/03/2017 14:46

I remembered the thread and recognised the details... copy and paste into Advanced search to check and it was there
