I have had rave review from the new HipHip baby Wonderoos, only bought a few in to start with as I wasn't sure they would sell due to the bad press with the Wonderworks ones, but people seem really happy with them. Also had goos results with Fizzis with DD but always used the hemp inserts as she is a heavy wetter. Am just about to get some Minkis in, they do look great and loads of people ask for them.

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 20:14

I still loooooooooove the weenotions, but hard to get right now. Minkis are good, but tend to be bulky - even the slinkis.

How much have the hiphip baby ones changed? I have a wonderworks one and it all falls apart at the sides - I hate the thing

makesachange · 01/03/2007 20:15

Fizzis? Do you mean Fuzzis or is there a new nappy around I don't know?!

I've had poor feedback about their fit but to be fair I think that as pocket nappies are less flexible in fit than 2-parts it really depends on the baby.

I adore our Swaddlebees pocket nappies (the new style are great) but again they really don't suit everyone. They're not very absorbant compared to 2-parts, but they are incredibly slim - about the same size as a sposie.

I must get to look at the Wonderoos. They look really interesting. Sadly I can't test them myself as my own DS is 2.6 and too big for them :-(

I was expecting that to be a

How about, I'd be happy to welcome you as an agent but hear you have gone elsewhere

Wish you were with us

Because we're great

Some people don't think cloth nappies are easy to use or can't be bothered to protect their kid's world

Even I've used a Pampers nappy once or twice but did I like them? Did I? No!

There, all emoticons used

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 20:58

Its nice to be wanted , but can't afford the kit

I have disposables in my house , but they are chlorine free .

Money is clearly the root of all evil , maybe I should rob a bank , but then I could be locked up ... but in prison they do get full nights sleep

But I do have a lovely snuggly baby waking me

Bagpuss30 · 01/03/2007 21:03

MAC, I can't get my Swaddlebees pocket to work . I like minkis and fuzzis though. Also BumGenius are good but I'm a little concerned with the rise as ds2 is tall.

makesachange · 01/03/2007 21:22

GIGGLE @ Flame

Bagpuss, have you the old or new style? What problems are you having?

Emma

Bagpuss30 · 01/03/2007 21:24

New style, always seems to wick out of one leg.

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 21:27

Why do I hear you with more of a hearty chuckle than a giggle?

makesachange · 01/03/2007 22:17

HoHoHo @ Flame

OK, wicks out of one leg. Is this with more than one Swaddlebees doing the same thing, or one that's causing a problem?

Emma

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 22:25

much better

(sorry Bagpuss, I know nothing so am just chatting )

makesachange · 01/03/2007 22:29

Flame - just got your email, ta

I should be in bed (stinking cold, busy day tomorrow) but am still rabbiting. Typical. Trying to write an article on swim nappies for my NCT magazine too.

Anyway, just wanted to say, you may think Rodney-Dave, I think, "I know noooothing" (Manuel) when I read/hear what you wrote!!

xx

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 22:32

Argh - now I'm going to spend all night thinking "since I come here from Spain, leaving my mother, my 3 brothers...."

I really need to contact NCT - will add that to my long long list of stuff to do.

ALso got stinking cold and should be in bed, yet am making more tea

makesachange · 01/03/2007 22:42

Hahaha!!! Gotcha!!

Yeah, contact NCT. Worth it

Er- sorry Bagpuss, back to you my dear!

Emma

snugglebumnappies · 02/03/2007 07:31

Flame, they haven't changed that much, I was happy with the Wonderoos I bought when DD (23 months) was little but the last lot I had in didn't sell well and there was a lot on forums about the leaking and the PUL deteriorating quickly. The new HipHip ones are suposed to be made from better quality materials and people seem to be very happy with them. They now have a fleece rather than suedecloth lining, but other than that are pretty much the same.

Makesachange, I meant Fuzzis, just pregnancy brain!

Flamesparrow · 02/03/2007 07:43

Its the shaping that is the problem for me - it all falls apart at the inner wings as he walks... That could just be a bum/waist shape thing though!!

Bagpuss30 · 02/03/2007 07:53

Flame, my Magicall does that sometimes too.

lol at you lot in your private nappysellers clique

MAC, I only have one Swaddlebees pocket. I use their hemp insert in it. I have tried putting an mf cloth in and also putting a bamboo booster on top but nothing works, in fact the mf made it worse. I have just tumble dried the hemp insert to see if it will make a difference but have yet to try it out.

Flamesparrow · 02/03/2007 07:57

They need something like the button on the weenotions to hold them in place.

I can probably sell on the wonderoo because its working, just doesn't suit DS, but my magicall is completely dead so a no go

Might go list the wonderoo now actually.

snugglebumnappies · 02/03/2007 09:49

Flame I remember you saying that about the magic-all, did you get any response from the retailer?

Flamesparrow · 02/03/2007 10:01

"write magicall email" is still on the to do list... it keeps getting shuffled down.

Bagpuss30 · 02/03/2007 10:10

I was going to ask that also . According to mine they are only supposed to be washed at 40 degrees though (although I have done mine a few times at 60).

Flame, I have just got a WBB in the post - gosh they are thin . How absorbant are they exactly? They look so neat compared to the Bamboozles too.

Flamesparrow · 02/03/2007 10:15

Reeeeeeeeally absorbant - definately match a bamboozle. Its where they aren't all tucked in at the edges iysiwm (more of an overlocked waist than an inside seam), plus the removable booster.
