What do you store toys in the lounge in?

Looking for some inspiration so room can be more adult like in the evenings1

We use fabric storage cubes, like the Ikea ones, then just pull them out and tip them over during the day. If you have a good storage unit for them then sometimes it doesn't even look like you have kids!

We've just bought an ottoman on Amazon so all the random toys go in there. Makes a massive difference!

Toy tubs made of fabric from tk maxx in pretty patterns. Everything gets quickly and easily bungled in to them at bed time.

We got a big blanket box type thing from barker and Stonehouse outlet. It matched the coffee table so I'm happy

Various over the years

At the moment we have a storage ottoman kept in hallway with most in. Then in living room two wicker lidded baskets ( ones that contained food hampers at one point). We have drawers in kitchen with arts and craft stuff in

Cube storage unti with fabric boxes, easy to put away in the evening, leaving the living room looking relatively toy free.

It doesn't matter. There will always be more toys than whatever storage you buy, it's a universal law.

Everything returned to bedroom at bedtime.

We use a sideboard, we had the Kallax but it still felt messy. I cut a hole in the back of one drawer and the sky box goes in there so can't see it, and tv is on top. It's good as the two cupboards open and there's space for big toys which didn't fit in Kallax boxes.

Wooden chest !!!! Fits loads in :)

Here's what we use (ignore giant baby toys!) One is from IKEA, the bench unit is from Argos and holds loads. Both units full of toys for practically all ages!

I have a smaller version of this

IKEA straw baskets for the chunky stuff. They stack neatly next to each other & look tidy even when open. Also got a few stackable smaller transparent boxes for the small stuff.

Our sofa came with a big square footrest that opens up, toys go in that apart from a couple of big bits that go in the cupboard

Kallax with the added doors on it so I don't have to look the toys once kids in bed and makes it all look neat even if toys thrown in there. trovast drawer unit - themed drawers / only one allowed out at a time. Ottoman type chest for the dress up clothes so they can all be thrown in. A small kids table with storage in the top. My DC are still small but the plan is to move the toys up into their bedroom eventually. really useful boxes storage drawer unit on wheels for all the crafty shit.

But wooden chest. Or the floor. Both work.

For people using chests/boxes, what do you do with the bits?
So that all the Lego stays together, all the peppa pig stuff together etc.

A wall of built in cupboards without handles so press open. Looks like a wall. Had them made.
Use storage boxes within.

I don't like open storage like to close a door on it
