Urgh. Doesn't feel good.
My 5yo DD refuses to wear hat/gloves/scarves/jumpers/long sleeves/jeans/tights/wellies/snowsuit/waterproof suit and most socks.
Even if I put them on her, after the hysterics, they wont stay on. It ruins days out. I dread cold days because I cant get her to wear the right clothes and then she cries because she's cold or wet.
Anyway. Walking across a busy road in the snow with inappropriately attired child Blush a man stopped me. I thought he was going to admire DS in his buggy..... No. "why haven't you put a hat on that lassy?" He said.
What can I do??? People are always giving me looks. I know it doesn't look good but what do I do?. I'm exhausted by it.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Almost-teenage DD1 wears a thin hoodie over her school uniform in all weather - freezing driving rain and wind and snow and frost. She claims not to feel the cold. I have given up trying. If she wants to be cold, what's the worst thing that could happen?

I can't wait until next winter when we are living back in Canada. It was 20 below there last weekend evil grin

I obviously do appreciate that a 12 year old is only a little bit different from a toddler!

I love that approach by the way.

I would pay money to see it in real life.

Hoiky McJudgypants - Harrumph. That child should be wearing coat/scarf/socks/hat/shoes (delete as appropriate)
MNer - Yeah? Let's see YOU try
H. McJ. - Here darling, let's just pop this coat/scarf/socks/hat/shoes (delete as appropriate) on you, you'll be lovely and warm and your Mummy will be WRONG.
Child -

H. McJ. - Holy Christ almighty
MNer - Ha ha told you so

No hearts I'm here!!!!! Funnily enough my auntie said (a few weeks ago) "why haven't you got a thermal vest on like me?" In jest and DD did indeed ask for a vest that same day. Clearly I didn't vest her fast enough.
We stayed in today so she was mostly in leggings and a furry blanket that feels soft.
Her socks stayed on for maybe 5 minutes today.
