How can i bath my baby?

my baby has already outgrown his bath at 7 weeks old does anyone have any ideas on how I can bath him now he's outgrown his bath? Or anything I Can buy for the big bath

We had one of these (not this exact make though).

Just put a couple of inches or water in the big bath and lay him in that. We never had a baby bath. We had a sort of towelling ramp from Mothercare that we used until he could sit up,then after that just put a rubber mat down for him to sit on.

He is a very big baby for his age he's 60cm long and now coming up 15 pounds, I don't know if he would be to big for the seat x

Kitchen sink, until you are happy to pop the baby in the bath? Has the benefit of not needing to bend down so much. Or else a big plastic tub, which are pretty cheap.

I used to fill the big bath up quite high and they used to kind of float if I cupped the back of their neck. You need to have everything ready to use though.

Or mamas and papas have a raised plastic thing that you can lay them on.

There a thing in Argos which has a mesh panel that you lay the baby on. It goes in the big bath.

I used to just run a nice bath, get in myself and take baby in with me. Both bathed at once saving time later!

To get in safely undress baby and lay him on floor wrapped in towel next to bath on another folded towel for comfort. Then get in bath yourself and then you can lift baby in from sitting/ kneeling in bath yourself so you don't risk slipped with baby in arms. When out lift him out first and cover with towel, then get out yourself.
You can take baby bouncer into bathroom if you have one to put him on instead of floor if easier as slightly higher up ( but we didn't have one)

Loo - where would most people store a huge inflatable duck in bathroom?

We always bathed our babies in our big Bath. Sometimes with one of us in it with them. Either that or just sat them in a sink. If neither of those is an option, you can wash a whole baby without immersing them in water at alk. You don't really need a specific beby Bath - that's just a clever marketing ploy.

We had the duck. It was great. Just store it in the bath. It was fine and handy to take on holiday when there was only a shower. Also used it as a paddling pool in the summer. Saves filling the whole bath. Mind you at 7 weeks the baby probably Only needs top and tail.

We did big bath too, she didn't like the angel seat thing

We have this but it was a Handmedown. Baby is 10 months tomorrow and we've used it daily since he was born so probably would be worth the money.

Joskar - but what about when an adult wants a bath? Is the giant duck balanced on the toilet or sharing the bath with you?

Don't buy anything. Run a couple of inches in the big bath. Baby can lie down by it. As he gets bigger he'll love the freedom and splashing.

Wow he must be big or your bath was very small. Our 14 month old is still in her baby bath!

When she was younger I used to take a big bath with her a lot. Me or dp still do from time to time. You could do that with your ds.

Ah dd's baby bath is about the size of the duck. (Fyi we store it in the bath. If the bath is needed by an adult then we put the baby bath on the floor until we are done.)

I assume other baby baths are much smaller then?

My baby is very long that's why he's 60 cm already he's a very long and big baby! And the ducks seem to be when they can sit up my baby is only 7 weeks so he cannot sit up yet xx

Home bargins have a similar sponge to the one linked by shoejunkie. Been using it for my wee one. We fill bath a few cm and lay her on the bath sponge. Job done

We had a sponge thing and loved it! My son was a wriggly thing and always clonking his head on the bath without it. I saw one for about £3 recently but can't remember where (helpful).

He's to big for the sponges unfortunately x

we used a towelling baby bath support, which just supports the top half of them and legs can float about quite easily. it was small and the cover was washable.

Both of my DSs were very big/long and it was fine for them until they could sit with minimal aid.

We held DD in the bath and did it all one handed. Killed our backs until DD was big and strong enough to sit up in a bath chair (7 months).
