OK, I sorted it all out for you cod. If your PGCE was after 1971 it's worth 120 points at level 2.

A BA or BSc (Hons) needs 360 points, so you'll have credit towards one third of the degree.

The OU degree will be broken down into needing x courses at level 1 (easy peasy), x courses at level 2 (still quite friendly but a bit less hand-holdy) and x courses at level 3 (scary stuff - I blundered into a horrid one on Artificial Intelligence Programming . My traffic light bot was pretty good though ).

This breakdown depends on the degree you are doing, but will probably be 60 at level 1, 120 at level 2 and 120 at level 3, with the rest made up however you like.

Cod!! Pay attention.

CheeryGarcia · 21/11/2006 11:41

I thought Cod wanted to do a POSTGRAD course, in which case all the credit transfer stuff is irrelevant!

All depends what you want to do. I'm using mine to count as the non-compulsory courses for my psych degree. So it is worth 90 points for me.

TheHighwayCod · 21/11/2006 14:07

arfishymeau · 23/11/2006 13:05

Well yes, but what about you? You want to do it for you. Not DH or the lovely DC.

I'm spending more than that doing my psych stuff. And that is just to keep my brain from freezing over. I guess I could teach it later, but I don't NEED it. I could still be a science teacher without it.

My youngest is 2.9, and it was pretty hard this year. Next year will be better though (preschool).
