DS just got his ear pierced without my permission wwyd?

He got it done with another parent present (DS friends mum). She never asked me if I had given permission am I over reacting? We had told him he could get it done at 16 if he wanted to. He has only just turned 13

I'd tell him off for not asking you first, and tell the other parent off for not asking you. But I'd let him keep it assuming it's ok at school and everything. As long as he practises good ear hygiene and looks after it. DD (9) managed that much so I imagine a 13 year old can.

He definitely has to take it out. Nothing to say to the other mother. She would assume he's allowed.

I would have easily said yes to my lad well below the age of 13 so it's impossible for me to say WW I do.

It's the lying and going behind my back that would bother me, not the actual piercing itself.

Beaufort my kids' school (girls) is pretty strict on piercings too - one hole in each earlobe only. To be removed or taped during PE.
