Whats the difference between Wham-Bamboo and Bamboozles?

I love my bamboozles, but need to get some more nappies. Have heard several people raving about Wham-bamboo on MN and was wondering what the difference between the 2 is, and which one is better. The only problem I'm having with my bamboozles is that some of them seem to have shrunk, and this means that the soft part of the aplix on the wings rubs on my sons hips and makes them a bit red.

a lot

littlepiggie · 01/11/2006 23:25

sorry

wbb are a lot slimmer, almost as slim as a disp, can be nipped.

bz come in lots of colours, but bulkier.

Is it any fiddlier having a loose booster. My son is really wriggly and quite often the booster in the bamboozle unfolds before I can get it on him. I'm worried that the seperate booster might fall out completly. Has anyone found a way to stop very active kids from moving when you are trying to change their nappy?

What wrap do you use over your wbb?

I use a motherease airflow or stacinator so simple wrap over my wbb or bamboozle.
For me it doesn't make much difference if the booster is loose or attached, they are both a bit tricky with a wiggling 12month old!
I have just bought a popper bamboozle and have been very impressed, I had the same problems as you with the aplix rubbing.

littlepiggie · 02/11/2006 20:27

ds thinks its ful to turn over, so i give him a toy or put the TV on, he is still only 6 months though. You might not need abooster, bit i always find attached ones a pain. and motherease wraps.

littlepiggie · 02/11/2006 20:29

will they do bz with poppers in the bright colours? Told dh that i need more nappies.

tutu100 · 02/11/2006 20:30

My son is 17 months and wees for England so I will definately need a booster! I've been looking at the stacinator wraps as apparently you can use them as pulls ups. I thought that might help the problem a little bit. Do you feel they are really good as on twinkle I think they are £10.

Have had a quick look on the tots site as i quite fancy the popper bamboozle, but they dont do them in different colours.

littlepiggie · 02/11/2006 21:01

probably will soon.

lloydjd · 02/11/2006 21:10

anyone there

lloydjd · 02/11/2006 21:11

hello my name is lloyd

MissLily · 02/11/2006 21:13

Probably should have held off ordering any more bamboozles til they bring out the poppered colours, havent had any probs with aplix though and i had aplix tots originals for dd; she's quite a skinny ribs, though and dont think ds will be the same, going by the food he packs away.

lloydjd · 02/11/2006 21:14

hi im lloyd who are you

littlepiggie · 02/11/2006 21:14

like poppers as well.
Hello.

tutu100 · 02/11/2006 21:17

I'm sure they will do poppered coloured bamboozles soon. I really like the poppered version aswell. Will the wbb have the same problem with the aplix as the bamboozles?

add [email protected] to your addy

tutu100 · 02/11/2006 21:19

Did you find that the fabric of the new poppered bamboozles has a longer thread than the aplix version. Also the label says it is made in Turkey. Hoping it might look better than my aplix bamboozles which after 4 months of use look very shrunken and gray and the aplix has gone a horrible brown colour. Do you think you can dye bamboozles?

lloydjd · 02/11/2006 21:21

add [email protected] thats my addy i talk more on it

littlepiggie · 02/11/2006 21:22

like nippers or poppers, aplix goes all funny.
Cant see why you cant dye them, think flame dyed a wwb.

tutu100 · 02/11/2006 21:27

do you know what dye she used. I thought I'd use the dylon washing machine dye and then wash the nappies several times before I use them, but still worried it might affect ds bum. Any other nappies you'd reccommend I feel like treating myself (and ds). I know I'm very sad I get a real buzz from new nappies.

I must say my all time favourite is a weenotions nappy. You can have your nappy custom made and they are great, fit really well.

tutu100 · 02/11/2006 21:39

are they slim fitting though?

OP posts:
alfiesmum · 02/11/2006 21:40

sorry meant to say that the stacinator wraps are nice, didn't realise they were £10 though! ds sometimes got red marks on his legs with the airflow so I gave the so simple a try because of the lovely fleece leg cuffs.

alfiesmum · 02/11/2006 21:46

They aren't too bad but not the slimmest. You can have it made out of all sorts of materials and have the booster attached or seperate that would slim it down a bit. Have a look on www.weenotions.co.uk they are quite expensive though. Thet lady who makes them is really nice, she resently made me a custom made changing mat and it was only £7! (its lovely)
