DS (2.5) has the same jeans on as yesterday because they were not dirty a friend I seen yesterday has just said 'does DS have 2 pairs of those' in a very judgy manner I said no he has one she's told me in a round about as polite as she can way she doesn't put worn (aka dirty) clothes on her kids and washes everything no matter how long they have it on for and i'm a manky bitch of course not right out.

I'm a bit upset at being judged and tbh I don't see the problem. I wash pants and socks after each use and t-shirts usually are dirty so get washed but jeans and trousers can do 2 days unless they have marks/spills. Am I being manky? I've got enough washing never mind washing hardly worn clothes.

Yes - unfortunately
My holy grail is not to have to wash DD2(7)'s school uniform every day...
She doesn't change after school because there is no point - she already has lunch split down her polo or mud on her trousers!!!
In the holidays I do get the get the odd two days out of trousers and tshirts -but not as many as I'd like...
Your friend is weird...
but maybe my children are messy but don't think I ever managed to keep them clean for an entire day at 2.5...
Are you sure she wasn't just jealous that you had managed to?

I must admit I tend to chuck everything in the wash each night out of habit, more often than not it is dirty but sometimes I am being a bit over zealous. The only things that don't get washed repeatedly are thick jumpers that I can't face drying unless I really have to!

If they're clean then yes of course wear again!

DS wore the same sleepsuit to bed 2 nights in a row (would have been 3 if it wasn't for what I shall refer to as the explosion)

DD will quite often wear the same leggings/trousers twice before they get dirty. Tops no chance though, she's incapable of keeping them clean!

Same here - socks and pants get washed after every wear, everything else only when really necessary. I tend to change the DSs' pyjamas more often than my own, though, considering they spend 12-15 hours a day in them (by which I only mean, that if it's an at-home day we often have breakfast in our night things).

I sometimes deliberately send DS1 to nursery in grubby jeans - as long as they're not, you know, absolutely beyond the pale - as they do a lot of messy play there so there is absolutely bugger all point putting clean stuff on him those days.

That's a very rude friend you have there OP!!

My son is nearly two and his clothes get washed according to whether they have food/mud on them. If there is a day where we haven't done much and his clothes are unmarked then they get worn again. It's different for adults as we sweat. Your friend is ridiculous and one of those women I try to avoid.
